Kyeong Hak, who has been studying to become a police officer, is forced to pay back his mother’s debt of $20,000. Already struggling and having to work part-time while studying, Kyeong Hak is now forced to make big monthly loan payments on top. Eventually, Kyeong Hak stops studying and becomes a deliveryman to make ends meet. Meanwhile, cracks start to form in his relationship with his beloved girlfriend Hye Jin.

After a dynamic series of twists and turns, Da Jung becomes Jung Gi’s new boss, and his rather peaceful life is about to face a tempestuous storm. “Hot-tempered" Da Jung’s tyranny turns Jung Gi’s life upside down, but with more unexpected twists and turns, one timid man’s office survival story is about to shake things up as he takes on the world!

In 1943, 14-year-old Jung Min’s ordinary yet happy life shatters when she is taken by Japanese soldiers to a comfort station located in China. There, as comfort women, a bunch of young girls are sexually abused. Despite her hope for life innocent, Jung Min ends up being killed like most of the girls.

In 1991, Eun Kyung, who bears the scar of sexual violence, eventually finds out that she has an extraordinary power of being able to communicate with the dead. Staying at a shaman’s temple, she meets Young Ook, one of those few survivors from the comfort station, and is asked to bring back her lost friend Jung Min. Eun Kyung starts a Homecoming ritual.

Prince Sungwon (Kim Dong-Wook) sees Hwa-Yeon (Jo Yeo-Jeong), the daughter of a wealthy nobleman, for the first time and falls in love, but Hwa-Yeon loves Kwon-Yoo (Kim Min-Jun). Kwon-Yoo saved her father's life and now lives with her family.

Meanwhile, Prince Sungwon's mother (Park Ji-Young) notices her son's infatuation with Hwa-Yeon, but she doesn't think Hwa-Yeon is good enough for her son. Prince Sungson's mother then schemes to have Hwa-Yeon become the concubine to her stepson the King (Jung Chan). Hwa-Yeon and her true love Kwon-Yoo run away when they learn of this plan, but are soon captured by her father's men. In order to save Kwon-Yoo's life, Hwa-Yeon agrees to become the King's Concubine.

Hwa-Yeon gives birth to a son a little bit less than a year later. She will then become a Queen. Several years later, the King becomes sick and dies suddenly. Prince Sungwon becomes the King, but his mother now wields true power. Hwa-Yeon then learns that the King's stepmother had the King killed to put Prince Sungwon on the throne. Hwa-Yeon also realizes that to survive in the royal palace and protect her own son, she will have to change.

King Sungwon is now agonized over his desires for his deceased brother's wife Hwa-Yeon and his mother's domineering ways. One day, Hwa-Yeon sees her true love Kwon-Yoo in the palace and he has now become an Eunuch.

Following the previous projects since (2003), (2008) is the fourth omnibus project describing the theme of human rights. The fourth project is comprised of five short films made by five directors.

The five shorts included in are as follows: “Blue Birds on the Desk” deals with stress from extreme overload of schoolwork, “U and Me” shows fear about uncertain future of teenagers, “Relay” is about concerns of teenage single mothers, “The Theory & Practice of Teenage Drama” is a portrait of today’s youth living in times of serious unemployment, “Girl on the Run” is a story about insecure futures of those students pursuing a career in sports.

An officer in the violent crimes division, Dae-ro is a hero in his daughter Hyun-ji's eyes, but in fact he's a corrupt cop, interested only in bribe money and pretty women. He is totally selfish and takes great pains to keep himself out of harm's way, avoiding the danger inherent in his job. One day, while in pursuit of a suspect, Dae-ro faints and is taken to the hospital. There he is told that he has a brain tumor and has about three months to live at most. To provide for his daughter's financial security, Dae-ro plots his own death that will appear accidental so that she will collect a sizable insurance premium.

Na Nan, soon to turn 30, is at a crossroads in her life. She has been dumped by her boyfriend, then gets demoted at work from designer to the restaurant manager. For support, she relies on her best friend, promiscuous party girl Dong Mi, who shares an apartment with the shy and studious Jeong Joon. Eventually, Na Nan attracts the attention of Su Heon, and the two start dating. But when she learns that Su Heon is being transferred to the United States, she must choose between making a go of her career as a restaurateur, or starting a new life overseas.

Waikiki Brothers is a band going nowhere. After another depressing gig, the saxophonist quits, leaving the three remaining members - lead singer and guitarist Sung Woo, keyboardist Jung Suk, and drummer Kang Soo, to continue on the road. The band ends up at Sung Woo's hometown, Suanbo, which was a popular hot spring resort in the '80s. The main resort now is the Waikiki Hotel, and their gig at the hotel nightclub starts well, until Jung Suk and Kang Soo start to play out their worst vices.

Somewhere in Seoul, Jung Won runs a small shabby photo studio. A humble shack passed down from his widower father, the studio is a space where Jung Won goes about with his daily routine of dealing with fussy customers, enlarging photos of class heartthrobs for the neighbourhood kids and photographing pictures to place on funeral altars. For Jung Won, life seems to be a series of peaceful events, but in reality, his time on earth is too limited for comfort. Barely in his mid-30's but perhaps too aware of the meaning of death, Jung Won accepts his fate despite the subtle gestures of concern coming from his old father and younger sister.

Life goes on as usual until, one day, he meets Da Rim, who works at the Traffic Control Division of the local district office and who is a regular customer at the studio. Her daily visits to develop snapshots of parking violations and her somewhat bold attempts to capture his attention stirs a feeling inside Jung Won with which he deals in anticipation. As his health gradually deteriorates, Jung Won is faced with the painful duty of bidding farewell to family, friends, to the studio and Darim.
