    PD Baek Seung Chan decided to work at the entertainment division of KBS television network because of his secret crush on a KBS employee. On his his first day on the job, PD Baek Seung Chan goes through training, but has a difficult time with PD Tak Ye Jin. PD Tak Ye Jin is the producer of music program "Music Bank."

    PD Baek Seung Chan is then devastated when he sees his secret crush and PD Ra Joon Mo being affectionate towards each other. Joon-Mo is the producer of variety show "2 Days & 1 Night” and he is a long time friend of PD PD Tak Ye Jin.

    PD Tak Ye Jin has been feeling sick since the morning, because of an incident with an expensive parked car. She tries to contact the owner of the parked car, but fails. PD Tak Ye Jin then argues with popular singer Cindy (IU) over her stage outfit.

    PD Ra Joon Mo is also going through a hard time. He hears rumors that his show is going to be cancelled because of low ratings. After a long and hard day, PD Tak Ye Jin is finally able to track down the owner of the expensive car. Surprisingly, the owner of the expensive car is PD Baek Seung Chan.

    A woman suddenly appears at Jae-su's house. Nothing in her hands, nowhere to go, the woman's empty eyes meet with round eyes of the eleven year-old boy. He regards the woman as another person who'll leave and does not put any effort into getting to know her. Every chance he finds, the boy scolds the woman, saying she eats too much, sleeps like a pig and uses up all of the utilities. The two of them are neck and neck with complaints until she learns of the boy's sad history and he discovers her diabetes. The boy has already had 10 stepmothers in the past. Out of the blue the boy's father shows up and begins beating the boy. She tries to stop him and they find themselves on common ground. A warm relationship between the two begins to build up slowly, not aware of the eventual separation that is just around the corner.

    Jae Su leads a cruel life for an 11-year-old. His father is an abusive, gambling and jobless wreck of a guy, so the little boy has learned to survive on his own, carefully spending his food stamps and running a string of part-time jobs.

    One day, his father shows up with yet another woman, who once she removes her make-up and wig turns from a bar girl into a tired and disheveled woman that eats up all the food in the house when she's not in deep hibernation.

    Jae Su seems to have dealt with all sorts of women, but this one is the worst by far. But even enemies join forces when a mutual opponent threatens, and Jae Su and the woman bond together against the violent abuse of Jae Su's father. But, just when the two lonely souls begin to accept each other as kindred spirits and their deep empathy blooms into familial love, things change.
