Hinata is murdered again by the Tokyo Manjikai Gang in front of Takemichi. In order to save Hinata, Takemichi travels 10 years back in time again. Takemichi has to change a key case that can save Hinata. The key case involves a sad incident that occurred to 6 men, who later formed the Tokyo Manjikai Gang.

Toshizo Hijikata, the “Baragaki'” of Bushu Tama, heads to Kyoto with Isami Kondo, Souji Okita, and other comrades, with the dream of becoming a samurai in his heart. Under the auspices of the Tokugawa Shogunate, he formed the Shinsengumi, with Kamo Serizawa as its chief, to protect the city.

A little girl is kidnapped along a Y-shaped road, but the kidnapper is not caught. Tsumugi, who was with the girl right before the kidnapping, is deeply hurt from the event. 12 years later, a girl goes missing along the same Y-shaped road. Takeshi is a lonely young man and sells recyclable products with his mother. He is a suspect in the recent kidnapping case. He panics when he realizes he is a suspect and runs away to another city. 1 year later, Zenjiro lives with his pet dog near the Y-shaped road where the two kidnapping cases took place. He carries out business to revitalize the village, but somehow he is blamed by the people there. He falls into madness and that leads to a horrific case.

Toru Nishikawa is a university student who finds a gun on the riverside and decides to take it home. He is excited by the prospect of having the gun. Toru Nishikawa is attracted to Yuko Yoshikawa who attends the same the university. A detective suddenly visits Toru Nishikawa and so he is driven into a corner. He makes his decision...

The Mobile Investigative Unit (known as "MIU") of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department attempts to solve cases within 24 hours.

Detective Shima Kazumi is selected as a new member of MIU. He is intelligent, with excellent observation and communication skills. Yet, he does not trust other people. He is unable to find a partner in MIU and is ordered to partner with Police Officer Ibuki Ai, who works at a police substation. Ibuki applied for MIU, but he failed. He is in excellent physical condition, but he lacks knowledge and experience as a detective. Shima learns about Ibuki's background and he becomes more nervous. Finally, Shima has his first meeting with Ibuki.

In Tokyo, Chiwawa is a popular girl. One day, her dead body is found in Tokyo Bay. Her body are in pieces. Chiwawa's friends gather to remember her, but they realize they do not know anything about her like her real name or her background.

Mizuno Gota, an aspiring musician, finds himself in a quandary when the convenience store where he works part-time suddenly closes down. One day, he catches sight of a newly-opened hamburger shop called Yankee Burger. When Mizuno enters, he is asked by the owner Ozeki Katsuya for feedback on the taste. He condescendingly tells Ozeki that the burger lacks punch, and the next thing he knows, he is offered a full-time job at the shop. Thinking that he can put his mother at ease and at the same time be able to drive a Ferrari some day if he stops living as a part-time worker and joins the hamburger shop, Mizuno decides to take the company entrance exam.

In the year 2012, three delinquents including Atsuya discover that their hideout, a run-of-the-mill general store, was owned by an elderly man who gave free advice to worried people through letters. Something weird happens during late hours of the night and Atsuya realizes that a letter will be thrown into the mailbox at midnight. It is a letter asking for advice addressed to the Namiya General Store written by a person 32 years ago. Incredibly, the mailbox was connected to the past, in the year 1980. While confused, Atsuya writes a reply in place of the shopkeeper. The group keeps replying as another letter is sent, then another.

Hikuma Koichi, a former saxophone player who has turned his back on music due to the aftereffects of an accident, becomes the advisor of a small brass band at a run-down high school. He has to deal with problem students who have lost their dreams as well as the teachers’ opposition to a professional musician entering the classroom. The path is not easy for him. Even so, Hikuma rediscovers his dream, confronts the students head-on and starts to coach the band. Despite their bewilderment, the students begin to reciprocate his passion for music.

Natsumi Kawai wants to become a photographer. She takes a bike which her late father left behind and goes to a forest to find a firefly she saw with her father. In the forest, Natsumi Kawai meets old mother Yasu and old son Jizo. They run a general store. Natsumi Kawai learns how to live in nature from them. She has happy summer days there. One day, Jizo tells her that he became estranged from his son in the past.

Takashi Hayama (Nijiro Murakami) is a third year high school student. He falls in love with Azusa Oribe (Akari Hayami) at first sight and they begin to date.

One day, Azusa tells Takashi "people who meet me, forget about me several hours later."

Takashi doesn't believe Azusa, but by chance he realizes that he forgot about Azusa. So he won't forget Azusa, Takashi begins to leave a note for himself and Azusa.
