In the year 1986, Ichiro Ogawa is a middle-aged man. He works as a PE teacher and the advisor of the middle school's baseball team. He is called the "Ogawa of Hell," because he is foul-mouthed and he repeats inappropriate behaviors. But at home, he is a single parent who has raised his daughter alone since his wife died due to a disease. He is an ordinary father who worries about his daughter acting out. Somehow, Ichiro Ogawa travels through time to the year 2024. There, he meets various people, including single mother Nagisa Inushima who works at broadcasting station.

Meanwhile and in the year 2024, Sakae Sakisaka works as a sociologist She is a flag bearer of feminism and frequently appears in the media to talk about gender discrimination or other gender issues. She and her son happen to time travel to the year 1986.

Yone Sakurai (Masami Nagasawa) is a program director for a psychic variety TV show called "Asunaro Psychic". She is stressed out and tired from her work, but proud of what she is doing. Yone actually believes in psychic abilities. By an audience request a new plan is set out for the program, a plan which requires the show to uncover real psychics or psychic events. Yone is selected to find these people. Yone then goes on a nationwide search, but uncovers only fakes. As Christmas draws closer, Yone, a normally cheerful girl, becomes depressed. Her boss at the Tokyo station orders Yone back if she can't find a psychic. Before Yone ends her search she makes one last stop at Cafe Psychic on Christmas Eve! Can the psychics there, who all hate Yone's TV show, hide their abilities from Yone or will Yone finally get her program material?
