It tells the story of love and hate between the fisher girl Ali and Hai Daiyu.
Every year, a young maiden from a small fishing village is sacrificed to the sea god. This year, Ali who has been chosen to become the bride of the sea god has arrived at the island by boat. On the night of the wedding, Ali attempts to escape and was rescued by Yan. Yan is the master of the island and her husband - a creature who is half-human and half-beast.
Alone and helpless, Ali spends her days by the sea accompanied by Hai Daiyu, a fish that can transform into a man. As time passes, the two fall in love. However, Ali imprisons Yan after she becomes pregnant while Hai Daiyu's whereabouts remain unknown. Soon enough, Ali discovers that the conspiracy behind the marriage to the sea god.
