Twenty years ago, two pediatric interns had a falling out due to a surgical operation. As time passed, Kuang Cong Xin has become a pediatric surgeon at the highly prestigious Annie Hospital while Xu Gan Feng who believes in protecting life above all else works at a second-rate hospital. They meet again because of a liver transplant.

Cong Xin schemes to get Gan Feng to join him at Annie Hospital. He also finds his former colleague, cardiothoracic surgeon Zhang Yi Xin. Mai Hai Qi who heads the surgery department aims to create the perfect team to pave the way for the construction of Hong Kong's first pediatric center. Helping young patients face life and death situations time and again enables Cong Xin and Gan Feng to overcome the bad blood between them. At this time, specialist Wen Bo Xi and intern Lian Zhuo Ying discover that a major medical error was committed during the operation twenty years ago. Everyone decides to uncover the truth.

The play tells the story of the modern mother Kang Ya Yu and her husband who have a two-year-old daughter. They constantly overcome the contradictions and difficulties in parenting life, and finally complete the transformation of the role in learning and growing up, and become competent parents.

In the early 70s, when Hong Kong was under British colonial rule, corruption was as rampant as ever. The majority of the Hong Kong Police Force collaborated with the triads. As king of the corruption empire, Chinese detective sergeant Lak Chui colluded with Cripple Ho, lord of the underworld, and made almost ten billion dollars through bribery. Lawyer Hank Chan despised this kind of illegal acceptance of benefits. He believed this would deprive the general public of their opportunity to fight for their own rights if they could not afford black money. His luck came when Hank met Nash Pak, his old friend who came back from England. Nash admired Hank’s integrity, and hence invited him to join the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), an anti-corruption organization directly accountable to the Governor of Hong Kong. Hank and Nash selected a team of elites, forming the first team of ICAC investigators, and cracked down hard on the underground laws of Hong Kong.

Their first target was Lak Chui and Cripple Ho. After tremendous efforts, initial results were seen. But what followed was a series of counter-attack by Lak Chui and Cripple Ho. The team members of the Commission were being threatened and persecuted. However, Hank's confidence did not falter at these setbacks. He was even more determined to remove these two tigers from the scene. The fight between the righteous and the evil had begun...

Man Koon Brewery is a century-old soy sauce maker in Foshan. The motto of patriarch Man Kai-shan (Hugo Ng) and his wife Tsik Tak-yung (Mimi Kung) is “Male succession and keep it in the family”. However, because of a contaminated soy sauce incident, they just have to let two women, namely, Ha Siu-moon (Rebecca Zhu) and Ip Sai-yiu (Katy Kung), join the business. The duo and their son Man Cheuk-fung (Matthew Ho) become fellow apprentices. Junior master Wah Ko (James Ng) gets involved with the trio, resulting in an intriguing foursome. Meanwhile, everybody gets anxious as certain secrets about the Mans are revealed and Cheuk-fung is abruptly taken away. At the brewery, Kai-shan’s younger brothers Kai-shek (Timothy Cheng), Kai-tsun (Gary Chan) and Kai-kong (Tsui Wing) want to divide the family fortune. And even outsider General Ko Shiu-wing (Andrew Yuen) is plotting to get his hands on a piece of the pie. With a 100-year history, Man Koon Brewery’s future is in doubt as it gets into such a precarious situation.

Retired principal Chung King Fai returned to Hong Kong from Canada in order to search for the soprano voice on his mind. He returns to the rebuilt Ngau Tau Kok Estate. His granddaughter, the reclusive illustrator Jacqueline Wong, promises to help him find his former students from the elementary school choir from forty years ago. The divorced Jacqueline, with the help of her investigator friend and "fake husband" Owen Cheung, and former students Hugo Ng and Mimi Kung, finally finds the other members - Ram Chiang, Joe Cheng, Sam Tsang, Willie Wai, Jimmy Au, Savio Tsand and former music teacher Lo Koon Lan - and reunites the choir. But these middle-aged men, who have experienced life's hardships have become like oily fried sticks who have lost hope in life. In the process of searching for the soprano, Jacqueline and Owen develop a subtle relationship, while the middle-aged men rediscover their passion for life and shine on the stage once again!

The police have just accidentally shot the gangster boss, Shun, in the head. Chief Inspector Chen reluctantly brings Shun to the Emergency Room at Victoria Hospital, but he's more concerned with covering up his team member's mistake. As Dr. Tong tries to convince Shun to have the surgery to remove the bullet lodged in his brain, Inspector Chen is more interested in interrogating Shun about his fellow gang members.

Tong and Chen both take their work seriously, but Chen is so fed up with his job that he couldn't care less if he follows the letter of the law. Tong accordingly holds Chen in contempt for his aggressive disinterest in his victim's well-being and rebuffs him every time he tries to prevent her from doing her job.

Shun, the clever criminal, provokes both of his captors, because as long as he is handcuffed to a hospital gurney, he has control over both Tong and Chen. He knows the etiquette and protocol that govern Tong's job and manipulates her lack of prior knowledge. Shun knows that his best opportunity for escape is at the hospital. He is trying to delay as much as possible, in order to give a chance for his gang to come rescue him. Chen realizes what game Shun is playing, but feigns ignorance, because he wants a chance to capture the entire gang. Tension builds between the three very different personalities, as the night progresses.

Billion-dollar company Jones & Sunn is going public. Chairman Ho Chung Ping has promised CEO Winnie Cheung, who has been his mistress for more than twenty years, to become a major shareholder of the company. As the IPO team enters the company to audit its accounts, a series of inside stories start to be revealed.
