Criminologist Himura Hideo gets so much pleasure out of being in crime scenes that he's even confessed to having wanted to kill someone. Constantly seeking out the ultimate crime, he is indeed a man with quite a few issues. Mystery writer Arisugawa Arisu, on the other hand, keeps a close eye on Himura's investigations and writes about them but at times completely misses the point. Not at all the type of guy you'd call dependable, Arisugawa nonetheless professes to be the protector of the clumsy Himura. Although these two men appear like they have no business being in crime scenes, they mitigate each other's shortcomings and use their compelling logic to unravel the elaborately woven tricks left behind by the criminals. It's almost as if Himura and Arisugawa use incredible magical powers to tease out unimaginable truths!

Taizo Kitazawa (Baijaku Nakamura) works as a middle school principal. He has three children. His first child, Hirofumi (Yukiyoshi Ozawa), is 38 years old and works as a heart surgeon. His second child, Chiaki (Haru), is 27 years old and works as a lawyer. The youngest child, Shusaku (Ryosuke Yamada), is 25 years old and works as a police officer. He is ambitious and has a strong sense of justice.

In order to keep happiness in the Kitazawa family, the family uses any means they can. Shusaku comes into conflict between love for his family and professional ethics.

Komukai Riko is a young single woman and works for an event planning company. She is considered average in regards to her personality and appearance. One day, her co-worker mentions person of a mass production model. Komukai Riko asks herself if she could be such a person for a mass production model and she answers her question affirmatively. Around this time, she happens to see plastic model Zaku at a neighborhood store. Zaku is a robot from TV anime series Mobile Suit Gundam. She becomes interested in plastic models and challenges herself to make her first plastic model.

Morita, a Japanese former Formula 2 driver known as "Kamikaze Run", who is asked by Onodera, an old friend and current representative of a large trade company, to function as intermediary for an auction of vintage cars. The owner of the cars is Gianpiero, an Italian who used to be Morita’s main rival on the races, until an accident ended both of their careers. Onodera invites Morita to stay in his house until the auction, but his wife seems to have a past connection with the guest, while his son, soon takes a huge liking to him, to Onodera’s raising frustration on both fronts. At the same time, his wife’s younger sister has a relationship with a young race-driver, while Onodera cooperates with billionaire Kurosawa and Morita’s ex-lover, Kyoko, in order to rig the auction, unbeknownst to him. Eventually, Onodera asks Morita to help him in his scheme.

"See Hear Love" is the story of Izumimoto Shinji – a manga artist gradually losing his vision at the height of his series’ popularity – and Aida Hibiki, a fan who was born deaf.

This new season is set in an entirely new universe, with Riko this time portraying the president of a start-up company called Dream Crazy.

Hayako Tatsuki (Nao Matsushita) is a single 34-years-old woman. She works as an elementary school teacher and she is generous to kids. Hayako likes to eat and drink. Her hobby is working out. She thinks she wants to marry someday, but she doesn't do anything to meet a man for marriage. Hayako is happy because she has a good relationship with her parents and she is surrounded by cute children at her school. Nevertheless, Hayako feels lonely at times. One day, she finds a a man’s picture hidden in the drawer of her living room. The man is a potential blind date for Hayako Tatsuki. Later, her father suddenly collapses and goes to the hospital. Hayako thinks about her parents as a couple who have trusted each other for such a long time. She begins to think seriously about marriage and struggles to marry.

Hagoromo is a university student. She has a mysterious special ability which allows her to travel back in time when she gets soaking wet. She lives with her older brother Junnosuke and her father Shingo at a love hotel, which her father runs. Her brother Junnosuke runs a private detective office out of a room in the love hotel. He isn't particularly good at his job and he always asks Hagoromo to go back in time to find out the truth.
