Housewife Onodera Mariya’s married life was supposed to have been happy, but turns out shortlived when her husband Tatsuya suddenly disappears without a trace one year later. Mariya sees a picture postcard left by Tatsuya which shows a heart-shaped southern island, and recalls that he had spoken of wanting to go there. At her wits end, she heads to the island in search of him. When she visits, Tsuruta Kameko is there working at the island’s only maternity clinic. Kameko had come to this island from Tokyo a while back. A former midwife in Tokyo, she was disgusted with the mentality of frivolous girls who regarded abortion as reasonable, and the compromise in natural childbirth which was far from her ideal. Then one day, Kameko won a large sum of money in a lottery and left for a carefree journey by herself. This remote Okinawan island was the first place she visited. While there she is beseeched by Nagai Akira to take over the island’s maternity clinic. Learning that there was a shortage of midwives, Kameko decided to set up the ideal maternity clinic down there. These two women of different generations meet in the southern islands. As Mariya is touched by the warmth of Kameko and the islanders, she slowly opens her heart to them and confronts the issues she has. 

The legend of a team called MIT secretly protecting Sheng Ying University was never publicly acknowledged but nonetheless spread wildly among the student body. For some reason, the team had disappeared and evil began to wreck havoc in the school. While trying to avoid the rain, Chiyomi Horikiri wishes that she go back to her childhood. Suddenly, Chiyomi becomes 15 cm. tall. Shunichi Minami happens to see tiny Chiyomi Horikiri. She tells him that she doesn't want anyone else to see her and Shunichi Minami takes her his home.

Thanks to a past trauma, Amane, a high school student, has given up on the idea of seriously loving anyone.

On the first day of his new life in Enoshima, he met Ryuuji, a boy his age. Ryuuji happened to be Amane's type, and he'd also like to hang out with him more. But what started out with light feelings is now beginning to change into something unexpected...

Tooru Igarashi (Kotaro Koizumi) is a lecturer with charisma, working at a prestigious preparatory school. Recently, he drinks a lot and his life falls apart. Maki Endo (Haruna Kawaguchi) is a student at a part-time high school. Every day, she is exhausted with working multiple jobs to cover her expenses. One day, Tooru and Maki happen to meet each other. Maki wants to graduate high school to get a regular job and asks Tooru to tutor her for her test–retest. After Tooru quit his prep school job, he has lost his pride and passion to teach. Tooru was also diagnosed to have only a year left to live. He decides to teach Maki and get her into the University of Tokyo.

In the year 2012, three delinquents including Atsuya discover that their hideout, a run-of-the-mill general store, was owned by an elderly man who gave free advice to worried people through letters. Something weird happens during late hours of the night and Atsuya realizes that a letter will be thrown into the mailbox at midnight. It is a letter asking for advice addressed to the Namiya General Store written by a person 32 years ago. Incredibly, the mailbox was connected to the past, in the year 1980. While confused, Atsuya writes a reply in place of the shopkeeper. The group keeps replying as another letter is sent, then another.

Her life changes in a big way when she’s suddenly befriended one day by a pretty, sophisticated girl who also happens to be named Tomie. Fascinated by her new friend, she invites her home. When her father gets a look at his daughter’s guest, he has to do a double take–she’s the absolute spitting image of his first love, who was murdered 20 some odd years ago by his best friend (who also fell for her, then took his own life). She had made such an impression on him, in fact, that he’d named his daughter after her. He learns soon enough that his daughter’s friend is indeed the same Tomie he’d loved, miraculously alive and as young and beautiful as ever. One day, when he told his workplace that he wanted to retire to concentrate on his acting career, the chief cashier told him, "You can see the person's life from the contents of the basket."

After waking up from a month-long coma due to injuries sustained in a reckless, heated investigation, detective Yashiro Tomo quickly returns to work at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. She is ordered to transfer from the First Investigative Division’s Violent Crimes Unit to the Sixth Special Investigations Unit. Located in the basement, it is in charge of deciphering documents of unsolved cases. Despite Tomo’s bewilderment, she begins work in her new postalong with a brusque senior detective Narumi Risa who is called the expert of document deciphering for her unusual ability to predict the personality and thoughts of a writer from writings. However, the reality is that this kind of work is nothing more than that of a “storekeeper” of investigation materials.

High school student Jinta (Nijiro Murakami) is a hikikomori and lives in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. One summer day, when Jinta is absorbed in a video game, a girl suddenly appears in front of him. The girl is Jinta's childhood friend Meiko (Minami Hamabe), but it seems impossible because Meiko died on a summer day. Meiko wears the same white dress when she died, but she looks a little taller. She tells Jinta that she has a wish and that's why she came back as a ghost, but Meiko can't remember what her wish was. To grant Meiko's wish, Jinta along with his friends Atsumu (Jun Shison), Naruko (Airi Matsui), Chiriko (Marie Iitoyo), Tetsudo (Yuta Takahata) and Meiko gather together for the first time in 7 years. Jinta soon realizes that he is the only one able to see Meiko.

"See Hear Love" is the story of Izumimoto Shinji – a manga artist gradually losing his vision at the height of his series’ popularity – and Aida Hibiki, a fan who was born deaf.

There is evidence that links the murders of Lawyer Kentaro Arita and Tatsuji Kosaka. Tomo Yashiro and Risa Narumi begin to investigate the two cases.
