Tezuka Osamu’s beloved manga, Black Jack, is being remade into another Jdrama, this time starring Issei Takahashi. Manga synopsis: Many of the tales feature Black Jack undertaking altruistic acts, seldom receiving acknowledgment. He frequently heals the impoverished and downtrodden without charge or imparts lessons in humility to the arrogant. Some narratives conclude with a virtuous individual enduring adversity, often facing unavoidable demise, in order to rescue others.

Kisaragi Minori, who thought she had a happy family with her pure love since they were students and was married to her husband Yudai, was blessed with children, but the story begins when she finds out that her husband Yudai has been cheating on her for 15 years. Minori, who has vowed to take revenge on Yudai, who has another family, and on his lover, Riko Miyake, plots her revenge using Riko's son, Wataru.

Tsuyuko Hoshino works as a nurse and wants to become a violinist. She divorced a few years ago. Her ex-husband fell in love with his co-worker and asked for a divorce. Tsuyuko Hoshino now lives with her teenage daughter Akari Hoshino, who has a heart disease. One day, Tsuyuko Hoshino happens to meet high school music teacher Santa Fuyuno at a cafè where is playing the flute. She is fascinated by him. Not long after twin brothers Ryuichi and Ryuji were born, they were abandoned by their own parents. They were then adopted by the Yoshie couple, who ran a small shipping company. Sometime later, the Yoshies gave birth to their daughter Misa. Ryuichi and Ryuji enjoyed pleasant days with their adopted parents and younger sister Misa. When Ryuichi and Ryuji were 15-years-old, their parents experienced extremely dark days because of Genpei Kirishima, who ran a competing shipping company.

Genpei Kirishima tried to expand his business nationwide at this time and he tried to deprive business of the company owned by the Yoshies. Due to Genpei Kirishima, the Yoshies fell into heavy debt and eventually killed themselves. Ryuichi and Ryuji vowed to get revenge on Genpei Kirishima.

Rosuke Narumi soon discovers how different the work environment is from his previous job.

So the school can run in the black, Rosuke Narumi implements cost cutting measures. School staff members including Chihiro Mashiba (Yu Aoi) oppose his plan.

Maki Maki, Sebuki Suzume, Beppu Tsukasa and Iemori Yutaka happen to meet and form a quartet. They even begin to live together in Karuizawa during the winter, but there is a big hidden secret.

Maki, who has a negative personality and barely gives her opinions, plays the lead violin in the quartet. She has family and only goes to Karuizawa on the weekends for performances. Suzume, who is unemployed, plays the cello, while Yutaka plays the viola in the quartet. The leader of the quartet and the one providing his grandfather's villa as a base for them is Tsukasa. He plays the second violin in the quartet and comes from a musical family. A man of many secrets, he also works at a donut company.

17-year-old Sara (Minami Hoshino) gets into an accident and falls into critical condition. She wakes up in the hospital the next morning and sees a nurse, Nanami (Asuka Saito), next to her bed. Sara can not feel pain. Nanami shows Sara around the hospital.

Set in Asakusa, along the Sumida river amongst all the multi-tenanted residential and commercial buildings, there is a company by the name of "Ookawabata Tanteisha". It is a small private investigators' agency, run by 3 people. Muraki, who is the licensed investigator; the "Director", who has ties with the underworld; and Megumi, the candid and bubbly pretty receptionist. Their customers are from all walks of life, and some come with the strangest requests, and yet none are turned away. In the course of their investigations, they come in contact with the people related to the clients, and they end up trying to resolve their relationship problems.

The murder of Emili, a young girl, leaves the inhabitants of a small Japanese village in shock. The raped body of Emily is found by the four classmates with whom she was playing. The murder is never solved. Emili's mother Asako is torn by grief and puts a curse on the four girls when they claim that they don't remember the killer's face. Each of the girls, in their own way, will do their penance for their silence. Deeply struck by the words of Asako and burdened with her curse, the four girls are forced into adulthood which eventually triggers a tragic chain of events.
