Kurumi and Kaede run a "traveling sandwich shop" that wanders around Japan and offers sandwiches made from local produce.

Hiroto Miyama works with rookie lawyer Honoka Kono on a team that specializes with criminal cases for Madarame Law Firm. Atsuhiro Sada has become the director of the law firm. One day, the law firm receives a request about a case that took place 15 years ago. The case was about a poisonous wine incident.

Toshizo Hijikata, the “Baragaki'” of Bushu Tama, heads to Kyoto with Isami Kondo, Souji Okita, and other comrades, with the dream of becoming a samurai in his heart. Under the auspices of the Tokugawa Shogunate, he formed the Shinsengumi, with Kamo Serizawa as its chief, to protect the city.

As vice-commander, Hijikata leads the organization with unparalleled skill and strict laws, and the Shinsengumi shows all-around success in suppressing the anti-shogunate forces. Hijikata had a fateful encounter with Oyuki and was attracted to each other, but the tide of the times is tilting towards overthrowing the curtain. University student Sogawa Ichika inherits 5 trillion yen from her father all of a sudden and attempts are made on her life by his siblings. The avaricious family has struck a deal to let the person who kills Ichika first have all the money to himself or herself and tries all means to take her life. Ichika’s housekeeper hires the investigator Chikumagawa Hikaru, who has a perfect record of solving cases before they happen, to protect her.

After waking up from a month-long coma due to injuries sustained in a reckless, heated investigation, detective Yashiro Tomo quickly returns to work at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. She is ordered to transfer from the First Investigative Division’s Violent Crimes Unit to the Sixth Special Investigations Unit. Located in the basement, it is in charge of deciphering documents of unsolved cases. Despite Tomo’s bewilderment, she begins work in her new postalong with a brusque senior detective Narumi Risa who is called the expert of document deciphering for her unusual ability to predict the personality and thoughts of a writer from writings. However, the reality is that this kind of work is nothing more than that of a “storekeeper” of investigation materials.

When Koichi was nine years old, his father was accused of killing his mother and younger sibling, before committing suicide. In reality, Koichi's father was framed, and Koichi saw the person who killed his family. However, the police didn't believe his testimony, and his relatives called him a liar. He never gave up his story, though, and so grew up with the nickname "Usotsuki" (Liar).

Eventually, Koichi moved overseas and changed his name, becoming a professional swindler. One day, Koichi finally meets his family's killer again. He then returns to Japan to take his revenge.

In June 2015, Kyogoku suddenly woke up after being in a coma for 30 years due to an accident during an investigation. Masako is an employee of a pub that puts on shows. Masako is also a talented magician. After taking part at a magic show convention, Masako is killed. Masako is also friends with a private detective (Yo Oizumi). The private detective hears that Masako was killed because of his involvement with the dark corners of political circles. At this time, a woman, who has tailed the private detective, consults the case with him. The private detective and Takada (Ryuhei Matsuda) get closer to the truth.

Domoto Tsuyoshi plays the lead character Tenma who has inherited the power to get into contact with spirits but is afraid of his ability to do that. Out of no choice, he has to take on the position of the president of an exorcism company. Kawaguchi Haruna and Minagawa Sarutoki will be Tenma's assistants in his "ghost-busting" missions. Serina will play an elder woman in the neighbourhood who chases Tenma around while Sato Jiro plays Tenma's late father who communicates with Tenma through his dreams.

Amano Aki goes with her mother Haruko to her hometown in Kitasanriku during a summer vacation. There, she meets her maternal grandmother, Natsu, for the first time. Natsu is a woman diver aka "ama", and Aki thinks that is just so cool. Aki is a second-year high-school student, and she struggles to keep up with the fast-paced life in Tokyo. Having been confined indoors most of the time, everything she sees in the rural town is exciting to her. But most of all, seeing her grandmother diving under the fierce surf along the coastline, leaves a huge impact on her. "I think I would like to be a diver too..."

In the Susukino red light district of Sapporo, a private detective (Yo Oizumi) drinks alcohol with his driver Takada (Ryuhei Matsuda) in his favorite bar. There he receives a phone call from a woman who identifies herself as Kyoko Kondo. The woman asks the detective to complete a simple task. Not longer after he starts, the private detective is kidnapped and buried under snow. He barely manages to get away thanks to the arrival of his driver Takada. The detective is now angry and vows revenge. He then receives another phone call from Kyoko Kondo. The private detective and Takada investigate further and they soon comes across a mysterious woman named Saori (Koyuki), a mob boss named Toshio Kirishima (Toshiyuki Nishida) and four murder cases ...

When a mysterious plague spreads ancient Japan, a pure young man named Yoshihiko (Takayuki Yamada) is chosen to save his village. He sets out with his friends to find a legendary plant to stop the plague and also find his father who never returned after embarking on the same journey.

Esumi's character Tamami is the "bull doctor" of the show's title, which comes from the word "bulldozer." Ignoring any opposition from the people around her, she uses any means necessary to determine the truth behind the deaths of the bodies she examines. Because of her personality, she is constantly at odds with both Ishihara and Inagaki's characters.

A former psychologist, who has the ability to recognizes lies through behaviour and mimic, now works as a detective. He uses his ability for solving difficult cases.

The story begins on the heels of the first movie as Light Yagami joins the investigation team in pursuit of the serial killer known as "Kira." While L still strongly suspects that Light is "Kira," Light tries to uncover L's real name so he can kill him with his Death Note. Confusingly enough, a new rash of murders all around the world are taking place, with a "Second Kira" claiming responsibility. Kaoru dreamily gazes from her bedroom window each morning just before dawn. She can see a stretch of the beach in front of her parent's house on a hill in Kamakura but focuses upon the activity at the bus stop where Koji and his two best friends meet before going surfing. The appearance of the sun causes her to lowers the blinds and go to sleep for she suffers from Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) and exposure to the sun's rays has had the potential to kill her. At night, she walks to the train station, plays her guitar and sings songs she has written, commonly returning home just a few minutes before it starts getting light. One morning, she is at the bus stop singing when Koji arrives.
