Inspector SUN CHIU-TUNG (Liza Wang) leaves the police force because of an unsettled case. She then opens a private investigation agency and, due to all sorts of accidental mishaps, employs KUNG CHAK-LAM (Wong Cho Lam), KUNG TUK-LAM (Louis Yuen) and TSUI SHUI (Johnson Lee). The three young men have all been treated badly by life. By taking them in, TUNG is given the ability of clairvoyance, that is, the power to see the future. CHAK-LAM, TUK-LAM and SHUI also have distinct supernatural power of their own. CHAK-LAM can go through a wall; TUK-LAM can turn into a kung fu master for a minute whenever he likes; and SHUI is able to make a person tell the truth. With their supernatural powers and superb impersonating skills, the foursome is gearing up to crack the most difficult cases and make you laugh and fall off your chair!

Follows the lives of office employees in Hong Kong working for their overbearing and abusive bosses.

Set during the Tang Dynasty of China, Can't Buy Me Love tells the story of the Third Princess, Princess Chiu Yeung (Charmaine Sheh), of the Tang Emperor (Samuel Kwok), who is beautiful but very unreasonable, and, as such, no one wants to marry her. The Kam family is the largest gold manufacturer in the grand capital Chang'an, but because they are deceived, the business runs into troubles. The second son of the Kam family Kam Tuo Luk (Moses Chan) has to marry the Third Princess to save the family business, because then they will have the right to manufacture gold pieces for the Tang Palace, the Third Princess only agreeing to the marriage because otherwise she would be married off to the Tibetan king Songtsän Gampo, as schemed by the evil Concubine Wei (Kara Hui). The Princess brings lots of servants to the Kam family after marrying Kam Tuo Luk, and constantly comes into conflict with the members of the Kam family (Lee Heung Kam, Susanna Kwan, Louis Yuen, Raymond Wong). The Princess brings Szeto Ngan Ping (Fala Chen), with her to the Kam family, who has been awarded "Best Servant" by the Concubine Dowager Chui (Susan Tse) and later became wife of Ding Yau Wai (Kenneth Ma). The Princess originally decides to leave the house, but when she misunderstands that the Kam family speaks negatively of her, she stubbornly stays. Later, she and Kam Tuo Luk fall in love. When the Kam family is convicted of a capital offence, she divorces Kam Tuo Luk to secretly save the Kam family.

Golden public relations genius Heung Kwong Nam (Dayo Wong) is popular with the girls, but not for his looks. Though he is known for his successful efforts in helping single ladies find their Mr. Rights, Kwong Nam himself is single, and he would rather pursue short-term relationships rather than be tied up long term. His new boss Shing Fa Lui (Kate Tsui ???) mistakes Kwong Nam to be a party boy, believing that he is only using his job as an excuse to get closer to women. Fa Lui also witnesses Kwong Nam attempting to woo her subordinate Yuen Huen (Sharon Chan ???). Yuen Yuen’s aunt, Yuen Sum (Elena Kong ???) hates Kwong Nam just as much as Fa Lui, and she often criticizes Kwong Nam in a magazine column she frequently writes for. Kwong Nam cannot care less about their hate and continues to do whatever he wants, that is, until his ex-girlfriend surfaces into his life once again, and Kwong Nam’s life is turned around dramatically.
