Hong Kong is an expensive city. Some people have to work multiple jobs in order to afford a flat. Tang is a carefree, unambitious orphan who lives in the present. He works multiple jobs including food and goods delivery. One day, he meets famous businesswoman Ms. Fok, who invites him to move into her luxurious house with a few other contestants. For the next six months, all contestants must follow Ms. Fok’s rules while learning to live with one another. Those that survive the six-month period will each receive HK1 million dollars. With their eyes set on the prize, everyone tries to do their best at first. However, more and more problems surface as time goes by.

Urban legends, seemingly true yet seemingly fantastical, connect the past and future. Folklore professor Rosina Lam encounters locals being haunted when she is researching the legend of Bride's Pool. She discovers that someone is using the legends to commit crimes. She investigates with reporter Edwin Siu and they reveal the secret past of bride-to-be Moon Lau.

Rosina's mentor has been missing for seven years; his son turns out to be Edwin. The two of them decide to finish her mentor's unfinished paper on Hong Kong's urban legends. During their research, they encounter cases that are similar to the legends. They begin to think that her mentor's disappearance is suspicious. As they investigate, Rosina and Edwin meet police officer Jonathan Cheung, whose family happens to be the main characters in the legend of the fox spirit killing an infant. Rosina is asked to investigate the incident from years ago, which ends up leading her to her mother's pawnshop! At this time, Edwin discovers that his father is still alive.

Living on the streets of Hong Kong, Chu Gam Chun claims that he is the Last Emperor of China. As social worker Fung Siu Yung follows his case, she gradually reveals his adventurous, absurd, legendary life devoted to pursing his love Yi Yung Yung. With the help of triad leader Nau Lik, Chu Gam Chun transforms into a powerful Shanghai tycoon. Although his heart still thinks about Yi Yung Yung, a missed opportunity causes the two of them to be separated again for forty years.

During a high-speed motorboat chase with a criminal, Cheung Chau police officer Wong Tai Mui gets herself trapped in a waterspout, accidentally opening a time portal. She travels back 200 years to 19th century Hong Kong, a time when the island was under Qing rule. She encounters a family of Canton pirates, led by Cheng Yat, his wife Shek Giu, and their adopted son Cheung Po Tsai. Using her knowledge of the future, which she keeps in a smartphone, she saves the pirates from a deadly naval battle against the Qing naval fleet led by Prince Man Ho, the eleventh son of the Jiaqing Emperor. Puzzled by her mysterious origins, Cheng Yat and Shek Giu remain wary of Tai Mui and are hesitant in trusting her.

At Beijing's Imperial Palace, Imperial Consort Yim and Imperial Consort Shun manipulate Man Ho to get themselves into a position of a higher power. Jaded from politics and family feud, Man Ho decides to let go of his ambition for the crown and flees the palace.

On the day the tiangou covers the sun, another waterspout appears over the Canton sea. Cheung Po Tsai helps Tai Mui open the time portal so she can return to 21st century Hong Kong, but in doing so he also falls into the portal, traveling to the future with her.

After recovering from a long term illness, semi-retired popular singer Wah Fong Ying realizes that she has lived an unfulfilled life. With two failed marriages and estranged relationships with all of her children she lives a lonely life. Wanting to mend her relationship with her oldest daughter who resides in Taiwan, she travels there and meets Hong Kong photographer Ben Law, who is a fan of her. Ben is in Taiwan to fulfill his late wife's wish to have her remains returned to her ancestral home. Romance sparks between the two and soon each becomes the other's strength and support. Realizing that throughout her career she has never sung for her loved ones and with Ben's encouragement, Fong Ying decides to hold a last concert for her friends and family, but her daughter Tong Yan rejects her invitation to attend. Fong Ying proceeds on working on her concert and hires assistant Jinny Szeto and creative director Sean Song to help her produce the concert. Just as light seems to shine on Fong Ying again, darkness comes back into her life when Jinny finds out that Fong Ying was involve in an affair with her uncle in the past and Ben starts to suffer from hallucinations due to a brain tumor.

Minibus driver Kei Yat Sing failed to heed to his late father's advice and suffers a series of setbacks in his relationship and career. Despite this, he stays strong and insists on raising the son that his girlfriend had with another man. His neighbour, Hung Ji Lung, has always looked up to Yat SIng as a big brother. Ji Lung hopes that Yat Sing would be with his sister Hung Lai Sa, but he is hesitant to enter into a new relationship.

A traffic accident causes Kei Yat to encounter Yiu Ngai Yat, the CEO of a large corporation. She admires his personality and hires him as her personal driver. The politics at the corporation is complex and Ngai Yat finds herself fighting alone. The only person she can trust is her cousin Yiu Chi Hau, but he lacks his own opinion and has an ambiguous relationship with an employee Mui Man Gwan. One time, Ngai Yat mistakenly believes that Kei Yat betrayed her and demands that he quit within seven days. At this critical moment, he helps her escape from the difficult situation. A subtle bond starts to form, but they are held back due to the difference in their social status. Living in a fairytale-like reality, the main characters wander between blurred lines…

Ko Lap Yan, the Senior Psychiatrist of Yan Wo Hospital, is a competent and kind-hearted doctor who specializes in severe schizophrenia and even minor mental illnesses. Yan cures his patients not only by medication but also by psychological analysis. He diagnoses the cause with reference to the symptoms. The plot is interesting, intricate and extraordinary.

The psychiatrist Lin Chi Sum and the nurse Li Ying Chun are both good friends of Yan. Sum is keen on helping people. He has cured a patient suffering from a binge eating disorder Suen Ka Pik. They have overcome a lot of difficulties and become a couple. Yan is a divorced single father with a daughter.

After the failed marriage, he did not long for love affairs until he chanced upon an Inspector of the Serious Crime Unit, Mok Man Yee. They have gradually developed their relationship through a business contact. However, in order to avoid the recurrence of genetic and mental diseases, Yee detaches her feeling from Yan.

After the death of her husband, Chu Pik Ha returns to her maiden home with her son, in a deliberate attempt to take over the family jewelry business from her elder sister Chu Pik Wan. To prevent Ha from getting too out of hand, Wan needs her husband Ho Cheung Hing to create trouble for her sibling. Hing does not follow her instructions, but instead secretly helps Ha tackle her problems one by one. Wan soon comes to realize that Hing has never really got over Ha. Wan's younger sister Chu Pik Lam is still attending school and is too young to deal with such family issues. Wan feels a profound sense of helplessness and becomes even more frustrated when So Lai Sheung turns up suddenly claiming to be a mistress of her late father and pregnant with his baby. Out of respect for their father, the sisters agree to put Sheung up for the time being until the situation becomes clearer. Shortly thereafter, Ha discovers that Sheung is just a tool of Sang guy who has been plotting to wage a battle of will against the Chu's.

SUM is attracted to FU too but thinking that they are true biological siblings, she decides to keep her love under wraps and stays with her long-term admirer KO TOK MAN (Joe Ma) instead. This comes as a huge blow to FU. He is not willing to lose his love, but neither can he reveal his real identity. Caught up in the dilemma between love and money, FU finally chooses the fortune road of no return.

It is all about a tough battle for money, a devious triangle of love, and a severe challenge to ethics.

She and Ching Fung have patched up their marriage even though it is still not perfect. With a difficult pregnancy Sum Yuen is no longer focus on her career. All seems well with her and Fung when she gives birth to a son until Fung gets entangled with female triad boss Chiang Tin Wing and her husband Sing Jin Choi. Fung is in charge of the case of Wing and her crime empire. While investigating Wing, she takes a liking to Fung and drugs him so she can have her ways with him. She uses their one night of passion to blackmail Fung into continuing their affair. Choi finds out about the affair between his wife and Fung, enraged with his wife's infidelity he accidentally kills her and frames Fung for her murder. With evidence to clear Fung of the crime Choi decides to kill Fung as revenge for ruining his marriage.

Ling Wan is a beautiful young girl who pretends to have an ugly face to prevent marrying. Her friend Chor Chor is not pretty looking either, therefore they became best friends. One day, Ling Wan accidentally saves the Emperor in disguise. He sees Ling Wan's real face and immediately falls in love with her. When he returns to the Imperial Palace, he could not get her off his mind so he sends someone to bring Ling Wan into the palace. Once Chor Chor realizes that Ling Wan's ugly face was fake and that the Emperor was bringing her into the palace she immediately goes find the "face changer", Siu To who she met beforehand in the village. Chor Chor makes Ling Wan unconscious and they switch faces. With now Ling Wan's face, Chor Chor takes her place and goes into the palace. The confused Ling Wan decides to travel to the palace alone to tell the Emperor the truth.

The protagonist, Yang Guo, is the orphaned son of Yang Kang, the antagonist in The Legend of the Condor Heroes. The couple Guo Jing and Huang Rong raises Yang Guo briefly before he is sent to the Quanzhen Sect for better guidance in moral values and orthodox martial arts. In Quanzhen, Yang Guo is often picked on and bullied by his fellow students, and even his master, Zhao Zhijing, is biased against him. Yang Guo flees and ventures unknowingly into the nearby Tomb of the Living Dead, where the Ancient Tomb Sect is housed. Throughout the story, their love meets with several tests, such as the misunderstandings that threaten to tear them apart and the encounter with Gongsun Zhi. Finally, after their reunion and marriage, Xiaolongnü leaves Yang Guo again, owing to her belief she cannot recover from a fatal poison, and promises to meet him again 16 years later. While Yang Guo is wandering the jianghu alone, he meets several formidable martial artists and a giant condor. His adventures gradually mould him into a courageous martial artist, whose prowess matches the Greats of his age. Yang Guo serves his nation by helping the Han Chinese citizens of the Song Dynasty defeat the Mongol invaders. At the end of the novel, he is reunited with Xiaolongnü and they are recognized as heroes of their time.

Chicken Feet assists in running an honorable gambling den owned by the crippled Uncle Fan and his son Kit.
