Uncle Hua, who has lived in the old street for many years, is highly respected by the neighbors and has made a living by selling antiques. "If you're in trouble, find Uncle Hua" has almost become a motto for the community. Due to real estate dealings, the old street faces forced demolition by the local Qinglong Gang. Within the walls of Uncle Hua's antique shop, six bodies, seven passports, and firearms are unexpectedly discovered, leaving everyone horrified. All of this does not escape the notice of the old street's homeless man, Old Cao. Meanwhile, Uncle Hua becomes the target of a mysterious organization led by Ah Jie. The identity of Uncle Hua remains shrouded in mystery. As everything unfolds, the situation becomes increasingly enigmatic and convoluted.

Hong Kong’s answer to Backdraft is a good, solid flick that seems to contain most of Johnnie To’s favorite actors and themes. Thankfully, he neglects to add montages. Lau Ching-Wan is the risk-taking boss fireman of the “ill-fated jinxes,” a notoriously unlucky squad of lifesavers. They’re known for futility and things just going wrong, i.e. failing to save lives or saving the wrong ones (like pets, for example). However, through teamwork and perseverance, they gain each other's trust and the respect of others.

He decides to help Fan and conceal the truth, while at the same time being tormented by the media and public opinion. But Fan's clinging to Chow only makes things worse. In order to undo his mistakes, Chow decides to heal Fan secretly. However, in the course of the treatment, can Chow make his way out of this bottomless psyche whirlpool?

After knowing his wife's affair, he decides to get divorced, without knowing whether he should give himself a second chance to be in love again. This is a comedy reflecting a so-real reality on marriage nowadays. With the detailed portraits of the characters' emotions, the story itself has successfully created echoes among the audience with its bitter-sweet scenario.

The Greed of Man is a Hong Kong television series first broadcast on TVB Jade in 1992. The story, spanning three decades from the 1970s to the 1990s in Hong Kong and Taiwan, addresses various social and financial phenomena of the times, from triad violence to corruption in the Hong Kong stock exchange. It featured a top roster cast, including veteran TVB actors Adam Cheng and Damian Lau and award-winning actor Sean Lau Ching Wan.
