Yeong Ho is summoned by his father, who is a doctor. Finding him busy with his patients, one of whom is a famous actor, Yeong Ho has to wait. When his girlfriend Joo Won moves to Berlin for her studies, Yeong Ho shows up in the city to surprise her. Through her mother, Joo Won has found accommodation at the home of an artist whose beauty intimidates her. Some time later, Yeong Ho goes to lunch with his mother who wants to introduce him to a colleague - it is the same man Yeong Ho met at his father's clinic. Yeong Ho asks his friend Jeong Soo to accompany him, and after lunch they go to the beach. Yeong Ho falls asleep, and dreams of Joo Won. When he wakes up, he braves the considerable cold and goes swimming, while Jeong Soo watches.

While her husband is on a business trip, Gam-hee meets three of her friends. She visits the first two at their homes, and the third she encounters by chance at a theater. While they make friendly conversation, as always, several currents flow independently above and below the surface of the sea.

Through taking photos, Claire has acquired the ability to look slowly at things, and to transform objects. Now, Claire goes with Manhee to the café where she was fired. Young (Kim Min-Hee) and Dong-Hee (Lee Min-Ki) work at the same bank. They secretly dated for the past 3 years, but recently decided to end their relationship. At the bank worker's dinner get-together, Dong-Hee is also there and feels jealousy. He begins to talk negatively about Young in front of her and the man she just met. Young becomes furious at Dong-Hee and pours beer all over him. A loud confrontation takes place between the former lovers and everybody at the bank now knows they dated. Their bitter breakup turns worse when each decides to go tit for tat. Dong-Hee demands his laptop back and Young mails it back to him, but she first smashes it to several pieces. Dong-Hee responds by mailing back her belongings, including foul smelling food that is now rotten. Adding fuel to the fire, Young logs into his Facebook account and discovers that he is already seeing another girl. Can they live without each other? Can they live with each other? 

Director E J-yong signs on to direct a short advertorial film and becomes taken with the whimsical notion of directing the film not from on set, but from an off-site location using Web-based technology. E writes this very idea into his short film, a story about a director who attempts to "remote direct" his film set in order to go on a date. E then rounds up an impressive star-studded cast, but secretly flies out to Hollywood, Los Angeles in order to put his plan to action. On the morning of the first day of shoot, E J-yong greets his cast and crew through a monitor. Without the director on set, the film goes spiraling into chaos.

Mun Ho and Seon Yeong are a couple engaged to be married who pull over at a rest stop on their way to meeting Mun Ho’s parents. When Mun Ho returns to the car with coffee, he finds the car door flung open in the pouring rain with the engine still running – his fiancée is nowhere to be found. Her cell phone is switched off. All that’s left behind is her hair clip on the floor of the restroom.

In a desperate attempt to find his missing fiancée, Mun Ho rushes back to her apartment only to discover that it’s been cleared out. Director E J-yong mixes reality and fiction by bringing together top actresses to play themselves onscreen. It's Christmas Eve, and six actresses ranging from their 20s to 60s, including Choi Ji-woo and Kim Ok-vin, come together for a photo shoot for Vogue magazine. Trouble ensues as the women, each used to basking alone in the spotlight, must get along with one another, from choosing dresses to addressing personal issues such as divorce.

A Mi, for instance, keeps sleeping with her boyfriend Heung Soo, but she knows too well that this rocker-wannabe does not have any real chance to succeed in this tough world where there is no protection whatsoever for talentless men. A Mi willy-nilly stumbles into a better choice at this time, a capable man named Seung Won (Kim Seong Su), who is an accountant for Deloitte's Seoul office. Except for this guy's dreadful sense of humour, A Mi vaguely assumes that her life would change for the better if she tied the knot with him. But what really concerns her is neither of these men. She is, after all, an aspiring screenwriter, and she is determined to finish her first project, no matter what. When it comes to determination and toughness, A Mi is portrayed as a cinematic macho who used to be a hardcore chain-smoker, but resolutely quits cigarettes once she gets serious about her career as a far stronger, almost traditional alpha male...

The main character, Kim Min Ho was born into a family of a business tycoon but his family turned away from him because he was an illegitimate child. All these people are linked together by the mute owner of an eatery in the neighborhood, an old woman named Mi Young.

Lee Jung-jae, who was also featured in E's debut, plays E U-in, a Korean civil servant bored and unfulfilled in his job and life. Void of a circle of friends, U-in spends his nights cruising internet porn sites. His voyeurism does not stop with his nighttime activities, however, for he also engages in stalking a woman unavailable to him, a young, punkish woman (Kim Min-heui) whose hair is dyed a fire-y Run Lola Run-ish red. One day U-in receives a spam email that he proceeds to reinforce by clicking on the provided link. He is asked to type in his perfect woman and he proceeds to type in the demographics of Mia, the object of his daytime gaze. From here, the titular character is created from U-in's gaze, Asako in Ruby Shoes.

Asako in Ruby Shoes The women behind the gaze that is Asako is a young Japanese named Aya (Tachibana Misato) who has found her life to be similarly soulless. Having decided on a unique form of suicide, she plans to hold her breath across the International Date Line so as to confuse whether she died today or yesterday, she decides to forgo her future and stop attending her pre-college classes. Getting a job at a health club, she befriends a co-worker, Rie (Awata Urara), a slightly manic-depressive loner who is attracted to Middle Eastern men. After eventually being fired from the health club, Aya decides to pursue a "modeling" gig in order to afford her trip to the International Date Line and to fully pay for the object of her gaze, the Dorothy-esque Ruby Shoes.

After living a beautiful romance on the campus Hyun Jun (Bae Yong Joon) and Se Young (Lee Young Ae) marry, but as the emergence of everyday difficulties the love between them begins to be shaken and finally when Young misunderstands the Hyun Jun's relationship with Hye Min ends up filing for divorce.

The second couple could be defined as: "comic love"

A love as comfortable and natural as the friendship between two people. Yong Gong is a schoolmate of Se Young besides being a doctor of a natural medicine clinic or as it is known oriental medicine. He is a widowed father and one day he goes to the pharmacy and meets Hye Won and is attracted to But it is at this point that we see the difficulties in harmonizing Eastern medicine (which is based on natural measures) and Western medicine (which is based on medicines).

And the third couple that we could define as: "The animated and naive love"

It is a love typical of the 90's generation where we see a playboy by nature IN Pyo (Jung Chan) who was accustomed to many adventures with girls.
