In New York in 1989, Baek Solomon is determined to succeed in the corporate world. A company wants to build a new hotel in Tokyo, but a Korean woman refuses to sell her land where the hotel is to be built. Baek Solomon offers to his bosses to travel to Tokyo and persuade the woman to sell her land to the hotel group. He also goes to see his family there.

In 645AD, the Tang Dynasty’s emperor Li starts his invasion into Goguryeo, one of the ancient kingdoms of Korea. Twenty years ago, Yoon Hwa Pyung, a young psychic born into a shaman family, learns about the powerful demon called "Son" (Guest). The demon possesses the power to control other demons and allow them to possess weak people. The possessed people then go mad, kill their families, and stab themselves in the eye. Hwa Pyung, Choi Yoon; a young boy born in a religious Catholic family, and Kang Kil Yeong; the daughter of a detective, fatefully meet when their families are killed by a demon.

Twenty years later, the demon killings started again. Hwa Pyung is now a taxi driver who uses his power to seek out possessed people in order to help them, Yoon is a Catholic priest who is talented in exorcism, and Kil Yeong is a detective who doesn't believe in ghosts. The trio meets again and tries to work together to defeat "Son".

Choi Jae Hye (Go Hyun Jung) is a lawyer and Dok Go Young (Lee Jin Wook) is a detective with a hot temper. They work together on a murder case where the suspects are children from the elite class.

A couple faces each other across a cafe table talking; he's apparently returned from Europe and she's not happy about him asking her to meet after such a long time. The conversation seems likely to end any second, but suddenly his true feelings touch her momentarily and a brief smile crosses her face. "The Table" follows a conversation between two people in a cafe.

The first episode shows about a conversation between an actress and her ex-boyfriend, the second is the meeting of a man and woman who go traveling together after a one-night stand, and the third episode is the story of a woman who meets the woman who will play her mother at her sham wedding. The final episode focuses on a woman about to marry, suggesting her ex-boyfriend will be seeing her right up to her wedding day. As all four episodes depend on the two characters' lines and facial expressions, audiences must imagine the situations from the clues available.

What is it like for a person of power to live in Korean society? Apparently, it’s like being royalty.

From childhood, Park Tae Soo yearned for power. Born in a poor family, he reigned over fellow students with his fist before he caught a glimpse of what he called “real power” -- the sight of his thug father being beaten up by a pencil-neck prosecutor. It was then that he decided to pursue a career in law, the biggest symbol of power in the 90’s. After entering the most prestigious law school, experiencing democratic resistance in Korea, Tae Soo finally reaches his goal of becoming a prosecutor, but his life is no better than a salary man. By chance, he joins a clique of the powerful prosecutors with wealth and authority. He finally gets a taste of a life of the top hierarchy, but as he enjoys the sweetness of supremacy, he also sees the cruel side of it. Dr. Frost became a professor in psychology at an early age. He is extremely bright but has difficulties sympathizing and connecting with others due to an injury to his frontal lobe as a child. During the day he works as a counselor at a University counseling center, and at night he works as a bartender.

Dr. Frost begins to work with a new teaching assistant, Yoon Sung Ah, at the counseling center. Yoon Sung Ah is enthusiastic with the clients needing counseling and does not struggle with connecting with others. The two of them work together to solve problems of the people who go to them for help.

In 1777, one year since he had taken reign, King Jeong Jo bears a perilous palace life with his dedicated court servant, Gap Soo, amidst opposition and threats from those around with political ambitions. Meanwhile, Eul Soo, a member of a secret assassin group, receives orders to kill Jeong Jo. Gap Soo, who had also been in the same secret assassin ring as Eul Soo, later confesses to Jeong Jo about his dark past and his motive for coming into the palace. To Gap Soo’s surprise, Jeong Jo asks Gap Soo when he had given up being an assassin, then orders him to just leave the palace. However, Gap Soo finds out that there is another assassin besides him and frantically returns to the court, only to discover Eul Soo in combat with Jeong Jo.

Director E J-yong signs on to direct a short advertorial film and becomes taken with the whimsical notion of directing the film not from on set, but from an off-site location using Web-based technology. E writes this very idea into his short film, a story about a director who attempts to "remote direct" his film set in order to go on a date. E then rounds up an impressive star-studded cast, but secretly flies out to Hollywood, Los Angeles in order to put his plan to action. On the morning of the first day of shoot, E J-yong greets his cast and crew through a monitor. Without the director on set, the film goes spiraling into chaos.

University student Hae-Won wants to break up with Teacher Sung-Joon. They have had a secret relationship. Hae-Won meets her mother, who is going to emigrate to Canada tomorrow. After meeting her mother, Hae-Won feels depressed and decides to meet Sung-Joon for the first time in a long while. On that day, Hae-Won and Sung-Joon happen to meet students at a restaurant who study the same major, and their relationship becomes known to others. Hae-Won becomes more depressed. Sung-Joon then suggests they run away somewhere else.

A family drama that portrays the work and romantic relationships of young people. Go Eun Nim works hard at her part-time job and stays cheerful to support her family, which includes Choi Joon Young and his mother, who suffered after marrying the wrong man and was taken in by Eun Nim's grandmother. Joon Young grew up with Eun Nim like siblings, but slowly begins seeing her as a woman. Lee Se In is the opposite of Eun Nim, with brains, looks and wealth as the heir of a business, but is selfish and spoilt. He uses studying in the U.S. as an excuse to play around. Hong Joo Mi is the picture of perfection; proud, confident and beautiful, she's the youngest team leader at Chairman Lee's company. She has walked her whole life on the path of the elite, from elementary school to her career, and is unused to failure.

After losing his job at a scrap metal yard, Kyu Nam finds a new job at a small pawn shop named Utopia. He is immediately drawn to the family atmosphere at Utopia, working with his new boss Jung Sik and boss's daughter Young Sook. Unfortunately for Kyu Nam, his moment of happiness will only be fleeting.

Cho In lived through a brutal childhood. He has had to use a prosthetic leg since an early age, grew up with an abusive father and lived with a mother who at one point attempted to kill her own son out of despair. Cho In also possesses an awe-inspiring supernatural gift. Cho In can control other people's minds when they are within his field of sight.

One fateful day, Cho In walks into the Utopia pawn shop to steal whatever money exists in the safe. Not expecting much resistance, Cho In is surprised to find one man at the Utopia pawn shop is able to break free from his mind control abilities. That man is Kyu Nam. Cho In then resorts to killing the owner of pawn shop to make his escape. All of this is captured on CCTV.

An epic battle will soon occur between these two people with supernatural abilities and nothing to lose.
