One day, Ga-In, who has been suffering from Ripley syndrome, meets high school friend Eun-Jung after 7 years hiatus. In 1998, the fishing vessel Jeonjiho goes out to sea to catch fish. The ships fails to catch fish as they hoped. The ship's owner then informs Captain Kang that he is going to sell the ship. Captain Kang can't let that happen and decides to buy the boat himself, but he is unable to get financing anywhere. Captain Kang then agrees to transport Chinese-Korean stowaways from the sea back to the port. The other crew members including Dong Shik and Chang Wook are freaked out about the captain's plan, but they agree to go along with it.

During a stormy night, the fishing vessel Jeonjiho stops in the middle of ocean and allows another boat to transfer its stowaways onto their ship. A young woman, Hong Mae, falls into the ocean, but Dong Shik jumps into the water to save her. Their nightmare journey begins.

She is the shooter for the covert team. Policeman Kwon Jung-Kyuk (Im Seul-Ong) lost his family in the Gwangju Democratization Movement. He is now responsible for the cars that have access to the ex-president's house.

''Coffee" depicts the assassination attempt of King Gojong - the 26th king of the Joseon Dynasty. Mimi, who had followed them to Seoul, also becomes a fashion icon with her dance moves and stylish clothes. However, their heydays dont last long. One of their members dies from a fire at the club, and due to oppressive rule of military dictatorship, the clubs close down and they cant perform anymore. In despair, Sang-kyu plans a passionate concert again called Devils Recital.

Ex-detective pimp Jeong Ho is angry because his girls keep disappearing without clearing their debts. One night, he gets a call from a customer and sends Mi Jin. But when Mi Jin meets the customer, Jeong Ho realizes the phone number of the customer matches that of the calls the missing girls got last. As something smells fishy, he searches for her. During his search, Jeong Ho dents a car in the alley. When Jeong Ho spots blood splattered on the driver’s shirt, he senses the man, Young Min, is the suspect. After an intense chase, Jeong Ho finally catches Young Min. But because of Jeong Ho’s pretense as a cop, they are both taken to the police station. At the station, he bluntly tells the policemen that he has killed the missing women, and the last girl, Mi Jin, may still be alive. As the police force is obsessed with a random search for corpses, Jeong Ho is the only one who believes Mi Jin is still alive. With only 12 hours left to detain the serial killer without a warrant, Jeong Ho’s hunt begins.

When her friend Kim-mi Hee steals the shoes, she has an accident and dies. Meanwhile, the architect decorator Cho-in Choi that is dating Sun-jae, researches and discloses that the mystery is related to a picture of 1944. His further investigation unravels the tragic fate of the original owner of the shoes.

In 1986, in the province of Gyunggi, in South Korea, a second young and beautiful woman is found dead, raped and tied and gagged with her underwear. Detective Park Doo Man and Detective Cho Yong Koo, two brutal and stupid local detectives without any technique, investigate the murder using brutality and torturing the suspects, without any practical result. Then Detective Seo Tae Yoon from Seoul comes to the country to help the investigations and is convinced that a serial killer is killing the women. When a third woman is found dead in the same "modus-operandi", the detectives find leads of the assassin.
