Ma Zhuo was born in Ya'an, Yucheng. At the age of eight, She was taken to Chengdu by her mother Lin Guoguo to live together. She grew up with Xia Gang's son Xia Ze. The two childhood sweethearts became each other's first love. Lin Guoguo and Xia Gang were accidentally involved in a strange murder. This is a youthful story which spans the period of ten years and focuses on friendship, alienation, and one ultimate betrayal that breaks the group of close friends, each going their own way and entering society. Despite growing up poor, Li Xia works hard and wins a scholarship into a grand secondary school where she meets the legendary Fu Xiao Si and Lu Zhi Ang. Love booms in more ways than one, and the group of youth quickly became good friends. After graduation, everyone goes their separate ways. Xiao Si becomes a well-known artist, Li Xia becomes Xiao Si's assistant and other half, Qi Qi won a singing competition and becomes a famous idol, Yu Jian heads Beijing to realize her dreams of becoming a singer. Everyone is still fighting for their dreams. However, with the onslaught of adversities: Xiao Si's struggle, Li Xia's departure, imprisonment of Zhi Ang, Qi Qi's betrayal and death of Yu Jian's boyfriend; the warm and bright summer starts to fade away. Everyone is changing and they become doubtful about the origin of their friendship. A span of ten years make them realize that other than memories, nothing can be eternal, but they have learnt to love and grow.

Lost and Love is a heartbreaking but inspiring story about a Chinese farmer who spends fourteen years searching for his son who had been abducted at age two. Along the way he encounters a young man who had himself been abducted as a small child and they form a special bond as they help each other search for their lost loved ones.

Movie is set during a period of time when Japanese invaded China. The story is told from Gao's perspective, a soldier seeking revenge from the Japanese in trying to assassinate the visiting Japanese chief in command. In the process of plotting such scheme, he had a chance encounter with a local Mafia, lead by its charismatic leader Fang. Fang had a bandit of followers, of which one is Fang's sister. Fang in the past have rescued many of these followers using his own blood and as a result all the members in the bandit formed a life long bond and friendship. When Gao realizes he could use the firearms and man power of Fang's bandit, he sets up a scheme to get captured by Fang on purpose. When Fang found out - he was extremely angry and upset and almost killed Gao, but Gao is saved by Fang's sister because she clearly developed feelings for Gao after seeing how he fared during the interrogation phases when he was in Fang's capture.
