With only 2 weeks left before she has to return to medical school Eun-Bi becomes desperate. She spots an audition advertisement looking for a male musical actor. Eun-Bi decides to take part in the audition dressing up as a man. Her ruse is discovered though by Yoo-Jin (Park Gi-Woong), an investor for musicals, and she is kicked out from the audition. In the bathroom of the audition, Eun-Bi meets a woman named Sa Bok-Ja (Park Kyeong-Rim). Bok-Ha insists she is a musical instructor and gives lessons to Eun-Bi. Bok-Ja even moves into Eun-Bi's apartment. Eun-Bi then decides to take a year off from school, believing that with lessons from Bok-Ja she can make her dreams come true.

As a fusion drama on the life of politician Kim Doo Han, the drama tells the life of Kim Doo Han with fact and fiction. Kim Doon Han is the son of the great general Kim Jwah Jin, who fought for Korea against the Japanese during World War II. After his dad dies, Kim Doo Han trains in kung pao and learns to be a leader against the evil Japanese. He finds his own position as boss of the Jong Ro area in Seoul, and vows to protect his own Korean people. Goo Ma Juk, the boss of Seoul, fights against Kim Doo Han in an attempt to hand over the whole Seoul area to the Japanese redevelopment project, pursued by Hyashi. Hyashi himself is a Korean but he ironically lives as a Japanese fighting his own people. Through these many barriers, Kim Doo Han struggles to keep the Korean culture alive, later on becoming a politician after the Korean War.

Eun Ah Ri Young (Jang Seo Hee) is a successful drama writer with a scarred past. When her father had an affair with another lady and left the family, her brother died and her mother became blind. Hating her father her whole childhood, she grows up to plan revenge on her father's new family. Her father's new wife, Shim Soo Jung (Han Hye Sook) is a popular actress. Ah Ri Young writes a drama about the affair and her blind mother, and casts Shim Soo Jung in the role of her blind mother in order so that Soo Jung will feel guilt. Ah Ri Young also plans to steal her stepsister (Woo Hee Jin)'s fiancee (Kim Sung Min). A guy she only chose for revenge becomes a guy she truely loves, and that love confuses her feelings for revenge. Jo Soo Ah (Go Doo Shim), her mother's friend, helps in the revenge because she wants Ah Ri Young to become her son (Jung Bo Suk)'s wife. As one person's plan for revenge starts, many people will become hurt, and the true meaning of forgiveness and understanding is learned.
