The seven tourists included a man who came without his girlfriend, a dating couple that has been together for 7 years, an older couple with a demanding & complaining husband, and a man traveling with a younger woman. The group members couldn't be more troublesome--especially, San Ma Roo, the solo traveler. He fought with his girlfriend 3 days before the trip and then left her behind at the office while he still takes a vacation. He is a nuisance from day one when he is trapped in customs.

Surprisingly, during the trip, So So learns that Ma Roo is her fated lover. She does not want to believe that as she does not believe in Fate. Yet, when they are left alone on an island, they start to share each other's pain from previous relationships, and begin to develop mutual feelings. What will So So's decide after meeting Ma Roo? Eun-Sul applies for job after job, but is passed over because she graduated from a third-rate university and doesn't possess a sparkling resume. In high school, Eun-Sul was notorious for fighting and fighting well. Then one day she decided to live her life the right way. She started to study hard and was able to pass a university entrance exam, even though the university wasn't prestigious. While attending university, Eun-Sul continued to study hard and also worked part-time jobs to pay her tuition fees. Now out in the real world, Eun-Sul finds landing a job extremely difficult.

One day, Eun-Sul receives a phone call and is informed she got the job. Eun-Sul becomes elated, but unbeknownst to her, the company that hired her is a loan sharking firm.

He has ochlophobia - a fear of crowds, as well as agoraphobia - a fear of having a panic attack and embarrassing oneself. Neither his father nor his grandmother know of his condition. Ji-Hun isn't social because of his phobia and doesn't associate with others at the company. He's also a germaphobe, and appears to be developing more neuroses as manifestations of the anxiety he feels over working for his father, whose main style of parenting, and living, is bullying.

Sang Man attempts to commit suicide, but he keeps failing every time. In one of his suicidal attempts, he overdoses by medicine and his heart stops. However, he is transported to the hospital and is saved. When he wakes up, he starts seeing ghosts. He visits a shaman to make those ghosts leave him, but he is told that the ghosts will not leave and they will not let him commit suicide either. Sang Man learns that if he helps the ghosts fulfil their unrealized dreams, he would get them to leave him alone and he then can commit suicide. Meanwhile, Sang Man meets a nurse Jung Yun Soo at the hospital and quickly falls in love. But the ghosts start taking over Sang Man's body.

Set in 16th Century Joseon era (1592) South Korea, "Like the Moon Escaping from the Clouds" details the plight of men from the lower classes of society who fight for social equality. Lee Mong-Hwak wants to cut Joseon with his sword to become the king.
