Go Nan Do is the owner of an IT research company. As a genius inventor, he started the company, and all projects were created through his hands. However, the only people who are aware of his existence are his stepsister and the official CEO. He was a hacker in a major case 10 years ago and supposedly died while being pursued.

Han So Yeon is an assistant manager at a glasses company. Whether it is working on brand marketing or the logistics of the launching party for the company’s flagship store, she shoulders on her work and stays ahead of the industry’s trends. After going through a series of cases, he realizes the importance of work done by the police on corruption. Do Chi Gwang then becomes the chief of the internal affairs investigation team.

Kim Young Koon is a police officer and member of the mobile patrol team. He acts cold to other people, but he is actually tender with a warm personality. He does not associate with other people. By accident, he happens to meet Do Chi Gwang. Do Chi Gwang got involved in a the tragic affair, which Kim Young Koon tries to forget. To find the truth behind that case, he joins the internal affairs investigation team.

Han Tae Joo is a popular lawyer. In her past, she worked as a prosecutor. She became entangled in a case unexpectedly and survived even though her life was in grave danger. She then quit her job as a prosecutor and became a lawyer. She meets Do Chi Gwang and Kim Young Koon and joins their internal affairs team.

It's the story of South Korea’s first trial by jury in 2008. It follows the case of a son brutally murdering his mother, with all factors seeming to point to a guilty ruling. However, the trial does not go as smoothly as expected. The eighth juror, young entrepreneur Kwon Nam Woo questions the defendant’s self-declaration of guilt. As a result, the judge calls for a new debate to establish a guilty or not guilty verdict.

Kim Joon Gyum is the presiding judge who leads the first civil participation of a criminal trial in South Korea.

The jury consists of 8 ordinary people with different ages and personality.

Jurors: n.1 Yoon Geu Rim, a late law student, n.2 Yang Choon Ok, a nursing home caretaker, n.3 Jo Jin Shik, an unknown actor more concerned with his daily wage than the trial, n.4 Byun Sang Mi, a full-time housewife, n.5 Choi Yeong Jae, a chief secretary of a large corporation, n.6 Jang Ki Baek, unemployed, n.7 Oh Soo Jung, a job seeker, n.8 Kwon Nam Woo, an entrepreneur.

This group forms a microcosm of society, and the way in which they are swayed by the majority opinion provides further commentary on its current state.

Kwon Nam Woo stands in sharp contrast to this, sifting through investigation records and backing up his doubts on the case with determination. He repeatedly questions the defendant’s self-declaration of guilt and reminds judge Kim Joon Gyum of the importance of justice. Bit by bit, he breaks down the majority opinion by pushing for a not guilty verdict.

The jurors are ordinary people, but, after they become jurors, they seek out the truth of the case.

Set in the 1920's, during the Japanese occupation of South Korea, Lee Jung Chool was once a member of the Korean independence movement, but he now works as a police officer for Japan. He receives an order to take down the Korean independence group the Righteous Brotherhood.

Lee Jung Chool introduces himself to art dealer Kim Woo-Jin (Gong Yoo) and pretends to be interested in his Korean artworks. In actuality, Kim Woo-Jin is the regional leader of the Righteous Brotherhood. The Righteous Brotherhood learn there are spies within their group and attempt to clamp down on the moles. Meanwhile, Lee Jung-Chool and Japanese police officer Hashimoto (Um Tae-Goo) lead forces to Shanghai, China. There, members of the Righteous Brotherhood decide to acquire explosive for an attack on the Japanese government in Korea.

After an extremely close national assembly race, Jong Chan wins the nomination of his party. He and his wife Yeon Hong are fully committed to the campaign and when their teenager daughter Min Jin goes missing, Jong Chan convinces Yeon Hong not to notify the authorities fearing negative publicity. Within a seemingly peaceful village, a plague of mysterious & violent deaths suddenly take place. The police conclude poisonous wild mushrooms are the cause of the deaths. Police Officer Jong Goo hears a rumor from a coworker about a mysterious Japanese man living nearby. The rumor fingers the Japanese man as the one causing these mysterious & violent deaths. Jong Goo, while on duty, meets Moo Myeong who tells him that she saw the Japanese man where the last deaths took place. Jong Goo's doubts about the man begin to waver. To his despair, his daughter Hyo Jin then comes down with the crazed symptoms similar to what the other villagers had before their deaths. Jong Goo heads out into the mountains to find the old Japanese man's home. Meanwhile, his mother-in-law calls in a shaman, Il Gwang, to perform an exorcism on Hyo Jin. Death lingers in the air.

Gwang Soo, a promising teenaged swimmer, skips training regularly because he is overconfident of his ability. His violent coach gives up on him and Gwang Soo quit swimming. Years later, Gwang Soo works as a swimming instructor. Elementary school boy Joon Ho always ranks 4th in competitions, making his mom impatient. She looks for a personal trainer and finds Gwang Soo.

Yong Bi, Sang Woo, Ji Kong and Doo Man are four 20-year-old friends. They take a trip to Pohang for one night and 2 days for Sang-Woo who is about to enlist in the military. At night, they drink on the beach and watch the night view of the sea. At that time, the friends see a woman being beaten by a man. They run to save her.

Hae-Gwan's (Lee Sung-Min) daughter Yoo-Joo (Chae Soo-Bin) is missing. People around him tell him that his daughter died in the fire that took place at a subway station in Daegu, but Hae-Gwan refuses to believe she is dead. To find Yoo-Joo, he goes everywhere and anywhere. One day, he receives a phone call that the caller saw Yoo-Joo on an island. Hae-Gwan goes to that island, but he can't find her there. At night, Hae-Gwan sits on rocks by the sea. He sees a light fall into the ocean and he is then swept by big waves. Hae-Gwan then finds himself on the beach. He sees something unusual and first believes it is a landmine. It turns out it is actually an AI satellite robot which saves every conversation made on a phone. Hae-Gwan thinks he can find his daughter with the help of the robot. He names the robot Sori ("Voice").

Shortly after the Korean War, a man and his son, Woo Ryong and Young Nam, arrive in an isolated mountain village looking for work in order to make enough money to continue their journey to Seoul. Against the chief's better judgment, Woo Ryong is allowed to do odd jobs and soon realizes the village suffers a major rat infestation. Like a mid-century Pied Piper, he makes a deal with the chief to rid the town of the rats but the time comes to collect his fee and leave, the chief double-crosses the father and son. Vowing revenge, he lures the rats back, fulfilling an old prophecy that brings horror to the village.

Nearby police stations located in the Seoul districts of Mapo and Seodaemun are usually compared to each other and, consequently, has developed a rivalry. The chief at the Mapo police station is Hwang Jae Sung, who is fearless when it comes to catching criminals and uses any means necessary. To top the Mapo station, the Seodaemun police station appoints its new leader Jung Ui Chan, who graduated from the prestigious police academy. An award for "officer of the year" is given out to the officer able to apprehend the most criminals. The award also comes with a 30 million Won cash prize.

Hwang Jae Sung wants to receive the award as he wants a promotion and did not graduate from the police university. Jung Ui Chan also badly wants to win the award for the prize money involved - his girlfriend is pregnant. For this award, the two rivals compete even more fiercely. A serial rapist case then occurs, causing both stations to work together. The outcome hangs in the air.
