This is a 100% Pre-produced drama. Filming began on 2016-August and finished on 2017-March. It’s based on the 2001 movie “My Sassy Girl” but set in a historical time period.

It’s about Love story of a cold city scholar Kyun Woo (Joo Won) who’s known as “Joseon’s national treasure” and the sassy princess Hye Myung (Oh Yeon Seo) in a Joseon Dynasty era.

Oh In Yeong is a former idol group singer. She belonged to a popular 4 member girl group, but, now, she isn't very popular anymore. In order to boost her flagging popularity, In Yeong agrees to appear in a television reality show that pairs up fake mothers- and daughters-in-law. While filming for the TV show, she meets her scripted mother-in-law Yang Chun Ja, a matriarch of a long-standing traditional clan. They end up hating each other on the show, but as fate would have it, the two later end up becoming mother and daughter-in-law for real.

This drama is the story of an ordinary girl, Mi Yeong, who has neither outstanding looks, a prestigious college degree, nor any other charming qualities, facing her whole life abruptly changing when love comes knocking at her door. While on vacation, she accidentally happens to spend one night with an unknown rich man and even gets pregnant from that night. Because of this incident, her life will never be the same, and this fateful encounter brings love that transforms this not-so-special girl to an attractive, charming lady.

Cheerful high school girl Ha-na (Lim Ju-eun) is always the first to come out and protect her introverted twin sister Doo-na (Park Ji-yeon), who has a slight limp. After Doo-na passes away in a fire, Ha-na finds that her body no longer completely belongs to herself. Doo-na's angry spirit now lives in Ha-na, giving her special powers and monstrous strength. Genius criminal psychologist Shin Ryu (Lee Seo-jin) is an expert profiler who is determined to see justice served. When he learns about Ha-na's abilities, he uses her powers to eliminate criminals that are above the law, and to plan his revenge on the man (Kim Kap-soo) who helped his family's killer go free.

Jan Di is an average girl whose family owns a dry-cleaning shop that is located near the luxurious and well-known Shin Hwa College. Jan Di meets the four richest and spoiled boys when she delivers laundry to the school one day. The boys are known as the F4 and cause trouble to those who speak out against them.

Geum Jan Di comes from a poor family who owns a dry-cleaning shop. One day, she visits Shinhwa High School, a prestigious school for the wealthy, and saves a student trying to commit suicide because of bullying. For her heroic act, Jan Di receives a swimming scholarship and starts attending the school.

In school, she meets the notorious F4, the most popular and powerful group of boys at the school, consisting of Gu Jun Pyo; the leader of F4 and heir to the Shinhwa Group, Yoon Ji Hu; the grandson of a former president of Korea, So Yi Jung; a skilled potter who comes from a family that owns the country's biggest art museum, and Song Woo Bin; whose family runs the country's largest construction company.

Her life at school starts out miserable, as she doesn't fit in with other students because of her status, and later becomes worse when she is labeled as the new bullying target of the F4.
