This film tells the story of Wudang faction Zhang Wuji who was inadvertently involved in the strife of the Jianghu caused by the Dragon Saber. He went to arrest Zhao Min in order to save the martial arts master.

It continues the cliffhanger from The Kung Fu Cult Master where Zhang Wu Ji heads out to find Zhao Min in Dadu. Unlike the righteous hero in the novels, Zhang Wu Ji's journey is much darker as he turns vengeful.

Zhang Wu Ji takes the Nine Yang Manual back to the Ice Fire Island. Under Xie Xun's tutelage, he finally masters a divine martial arts technique and becomes attuned to the way of the king. Having been oppressed for being weak, Zhang Wuji realizes that the only way he can take revenge is to seize power because his real enemy is the political force behind Cheng Kun. It takes Zhang Wu Ji 20 years before returning to Bright Peak. He is no longer indecisive and distracted by romantic entanglements because he is set on his goal to do whatever it takes to become the Ming Sect leader and then to become King.

Set in Thailand in the 1960s, Chinatown centers around the trials and tribulations of the local Chinese people living in Bangkok.

Twenty years ago, in a gambling match between two masters, Heong Mo Ming suddenly appears to help his senior win and then disappears. When undercover agent Ding receives an encrypted message from Blackjack, who claims to be an undercover agent that has lost contact with the police, she reports it to her superior officer Inspector Q, who immediately launches a mission to search for Blackjack. While Inspector Q narrows down Blackjack's whereabouts, he learns of a finance group's involvement in a drug deal in Brazil which involves company chairman Kwok Ming, his advisor Lam, Lam's right-hand man Shiu and the supposedly dead triad leader Foon-hei, who is surprisingly alive and kicking, and is plotting a comeback to the crime world.
