Minami Hiromi is an FBI agent visiting Japan from the US for a limited time. Ryo Onodera, played by Miyazaki, had a groom runaway on the wedding day four years ago. Her father, Tosaku (Matsushige) and her mother, Machiko (Matsuzaka), built a large two-family house to live with their daughter and her new family.

One day, Ryo says that she has been proposed to, Machiko is surprised to see that face. This is because Kotaro was a former subordinate of the workplace and was now her boss. Although she wants to congratulate her daughter's marriage, Machiko wonders if she can live with her boss. Where is the love between Ryo and Kotaro? Can the two get married? Can Ryo and Kotaro, Tosaku and Machiko become a family?

Makino Hiyori is a rookie detective who is passionate about her work. One day, a video clip depicting a person being burned alive, is posted on the internet. Investigators believe this is a copycat crime of a murder that took place 5 years ago.

Makino Hiyori visits ex-detective Natsume Soichiro who investigated the case 5 years ago. He lives is at a share house where only ex-police officers can live.

Miyamoto, a divorcee and father of an 8-year-old daughter, proposes to and marries Akiko Iwaki, a career-minded 32-year-old woman. Now, with both unaccustomed to household tasks, they must learn on the fly as they raise their daughter.

Takada Yu is an employee of a development firm. His father has favored his high-achieving older brother and been indifferent to Yu since young. So Yu craves for his father’s love and wants his recognition somehow. Then one day, Yu encounters a woman. Although it was the worst possible meeting, he gradually starts to have romantic feelings for her through work and an unexpected development. But ironically enough, she turns out to be the girlfriend of his older brother. Yu begins to realize what he truly treasures and matures as a person as he struggles with this complicated romance and with his older brother and father.
