In 1999, Young Mi, cruelly nicknamed “Ms. Apocalypse,” develops a crush on a married man who is imprisoned for embezzlement. Young Mi ends up imprisoned for aiding his crime. When she is released, her crush’s wife, Yu Jin, visits, offering to pay off her husband’s debt. Yet, because Yu Jin is physically disabled, Young Mi feels uneasy about taking her money. The two women eventually begin to live together. Their story is poignant yet consistently cheery, enlivening, and energetic.

As all four episodes depend on the two characters' lines and facial expressions, audiences must imagine the situations from the clues available.

In 1867, Shin Jae Hyo leads the Dongrijungsa which teaches pansori (traditional Korean musical storytelling). A young girl, Chae Sun, who wants to perform pansori, appears in front of him. Chae Sun has dreamed of performing pansori since she first heard Shin Jae Hyo perform when she was little, but Shin Jae Hyo turns her down because women are not allowed to perform pansori. Chae Sun then disguises herself as a man and enters the Dongrijungsa to learn pansori, but Shin Jae Hyo doesn’t accept her as his student. One day, he hears Daewongun, the most powerful man in Joseon and the father of the King, is going to hold a national competition of pansori performers known as “Naksungyeon.” Shin Jae Hyo decides to teach Chae Sun who has a true voice to perform “Chunhyangga.” If anyone finds out that Chae Sun is a woman, Shin Jae Hyo and Chae Sun will both face death.

While running a travel agency in Macau, Ji Yeon is ripped off by her business partner. One day, the attractive and benevolent Sung Yeol gives her an irresistible offer: $5,000 monthly salary to live on a luxurious yacht and assist the chairman of Cenado, a prominent shipping and casino operator company. Without another option to fall back on, she complies and nurses the ailing chairman, who is impossible to deal with. Jang Geu Rae has played the game of Go since he was a child. When his plans of becoming a professional Go player fail, the down-and-out Geu Rae is forced to take an office job as an intern set up for him by an acquaintance’s recommendation for him to a large company called One International.

On his first day of work, Geu Rae meets an eager fellow intern An Yeong Yi as they both try to please their new boss, Section Chief Oh Sang Shik, and keep up with the ambitious employee Jang Baek Ki. But they quickly find that their department is a little different from the others.
