Ji Eun is the daughter of a wealthy chaebol family. She is bright, humorous, beautiful, and smart. Ji Eun meets Se Hoon, who runs a small furniture workshop. Unlike Ji Eun, Se Hoon comes from a poor family background. He was once the top student at a prestigious university, but he had to drop out due to his sick mother. Nevertheless, Ji Eun falls deeply in love with Se Hoon. She confesses her feelings to him. Se Hoon is also in love with Ji Eun, but he turns her down due to the extreme differences in their backgrounds. Eventually, Se Hoon is unable to bury his feelings any longer and they decide to marry. Ji Eun's father constantly interferes in their marriage and Se Hoon becomes tired of his father-in-law's meddling. Making things worse, Ji Eun experiences a miscarriage. She leaves Se Hoon shortly afterward.

10 years later, their lives have changed drastically. Ji Eun works as a housemaid and she struggles to support her family. She is also burdened by the debt left behind by her late father.

Meanwhile, Se Hoon as William Jang runs the successful U.S. cosmetic company Cosmetic Cherokee. He returns to South Korea.

Hae Jin is 36-years-old. She is married to Jin Sang, who is 6 years younger than her, and they have a daughter Yoo Ri. Hae Jin runs a restaurant that she took over from her father-in-law. She supported her husband Jin Sang while he studied to enter a university. Because of Hae Jin, Jin Sang is now attending a prestigious university, but he has an affair with Joo Ri. She is the young daughter of a rich family. Hae Jin becomes aware of her husband's affair, but she doesn't want a divorce. Meanwhile, Dae Gu appears in front of Hae Jin. Dae Gu is a drama series writer. He was once in demand for his screenwriting, but his popularity has waned. His marriage life is not doing well either.

This drama tells the story of two sisters Yoon Ye Eun and Yoon Sang Eun.

Yoon Ye Eun (Shim Yi Young) has been married for 7 years. She is a housewife and works hard taking care of the family on her husband, Lee Jin Sup (Kang Seo Joon)’s side. Her in-laws though give her a hard time, but she is positive and happy. Her husband’s business is doing well and they move into a new house. However, she then finds out her husband is having an affair.

Yoon Sang Eun (Han Young) is single and runs a small piano institute. While running her piano institute, she has fallen into debt. She meets Choi Jae Woong (Oh Dae Gyu) through a matchmaking agency. Choi Jae Woong proposes to enter into a contract marriage with Yoon Sang Eun and in return he will pay off her debts.

The tale of former teacher and student, Oh Eun Soo and Kim Bit Na, who meet again years later after they married brothers, Yoon Soo Ho and Yoon Soo Hyun. They even become stepsisters after remarriage of their parents.

Whether a man and a woman become lovers or enemies depends on a fateful encounter. Revolving around work life at a TV network, this story is about young people who believe in destiny.
