Nagumo Shuji played baseball for a long time. His life revolved around baseball, but while he played for his university baseball team, he was injured. Due to his injury, Nagumo Shuji quit baseball and dropped out of school. He then worked as a sports trainer, but he made the decision to pursue his dream of becoming a teacher. At the age of 32, he enrolled at a university again and studied to become a teacher. Now, Nagumo Shuji works as a social studies teacher at Etsuzan High School in Mie Prefecture. He is married to Mika, and they live with Mika's father and their two children. Their two children are Aozora, who is from Mika's previous relationship, and their daughter Nagisa.

Meanwhile, there is a baseball team at Etsuzan High School, but they have not had many winning seasons. Inuzuka Mikio is a rich man from a prestigious family. His grandson enters Etsuzan High School, and his goal is to play baseball professionally in the United States. For his grandson, Inuzuka Mikio supports the high school baseball team, and Nagumo Shuji becomes an advisor for the team.

Following Zeni no Senso and Uso no Senso, Wana no Senso is the third work of the "war" series. The drama centers around Washizu Toru, a parliamentary secretary who is betrayed by a member of the Parliament, to whom he has devoted 20 years of his life, and decides to take revenge on the politicians who wield power over him.

Sawada Kyoka works as a yoga instructor. Her mother died two years ago and she moved in with her father Sawada Rintaro afterwards. Sawada Rintaro works as a Japanese language scholar. His only interest now is in the study of the Japanese language. After his wife died, his life seems to have no energy.

Sawada Kyoka gets into arguments with her father Sawada Rintaro constantly and she is also burdened with taking care of him. Sawada Kyoka wants to have a life where she can focus on herself. Due to everything around her, Sawada Kyoka doesn't care about getting married. But, one day, Sawada Rintaro finds a divorce document among his late wife's belongings. This pushes Sawada Rintaro into wanting to remarry. He also pushes his daughter Sawada Kyoka to find a marriage partner. The father and daughter begin to look for a person to marry. At this time, Sawada Kyoka meets Higashimura Seita, who is single father with a 7-year-old son.

The story is set in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture in the era around the Second World War. When the story opens in 1928, the heroine, Sakurako, is a very active seven-year-old girl who is interested in becoming a jazz pianist, and music features extensively in the plot.

The trading company has a business relationship with a private high school experiencing some difficulties. One day, Rosuke Narumi is appointed as the principle of the private high school. Rosuke Narumi soon discovers how different the work environment is from his previous job.

So the school can run in the black, Rosuke Narumi implements cost cutting measures. School staff members including Chihiro Mashiba (Yu Aoi) oppose his plan.

If actresses Hirosue Ryoko, Igawa Haruka and Saito Yuki chose different paths at the turning point in their lives, what kind of life would they be leading? In this world, Hirosue did not appear in the big 1997 drama hit, Beach Boys, with Sorimachi Takashi and Takenouchi Yutaka and suddenly rise to fame. She is a struggling actress in her mid 30s who gets by on part-time housekeeping work and cannot bear to give up being an actress. Hirosue fantasises about newly married life with a handsome guy and is jealous of successful actress Takeuchi Yuko who is the same age. Although she struggles alone, she works hard at her housekeeping job every day. On the other hand, Igawa did not put out the photo book ‘Good Vibrations’ at that time and has been completely forgotten now after the end of the boom of “soothing” models. She dates actor Fujiki Naohito in an unexpected turn of events. Even though she has a taste of this little happiness, she starts to grow impatient when the relationship fails to progress toward marriage. Igawa impulsively tries to make a transition to acting despite being over 40 but... Saito was afraid to spoil her pure idol image and did not star in Sukeban Deka in 1985. She ended up a one-hit wonder and faded away. To regain her teenage years, she attends university and majors in physics with the aspiration to graduate as a female scientist. She mixes with youth around 20 and joins matchmaking parties, making the most of student life. At night, Saito runs a popular bar that even the actress Kaho patronises.

One year has passed since Take Seiji became a full time employee at Oetsu Construction. The Take family, having moved into their new home, have been living there peacefully until Sumiko's brother shows up one day while she is out, and Seiji and Ayako discovers that their parents had in fact married despite objection from Sumiko's family.

Also, Manami, in the midst of her internship in Okayama, is coming back to Tokyo for a week, and so Seiji and Manami are finally able to reunite. Manami's father had passed away when she was young and her mother, Sayuri, had remarried since then. Growing up in such an environment, Manami had fostered a complicated relationship with her mother, and because of that the prospect of marriage wasn`t appealing to her.

Seiji, having just started his new life, hadn't really given much thought to marriage, but after meeting Manami's mother, he is shocked to learn how Manami feels about her mother and towards marriage. But one day, on the way home from drinking with the Oetsu Construction members, Seiji and Manami come across an abandoned kitty. After promising to take care of the kitty only until a new owner is found, Manami is able to take care of the kitty at her mother`s home. But, while Manami is out at work, the kitty becomes ill and Manami's mother not knowing what to do contacts Manami and so Seiji decides to take care of the kitty in the meantime. And, the very presence of the kitty becomes a turning point for both the Take family and Manami`s relationship with her mother...

Igawa portrays a woman named Tamaki Rei who lost both of her parents in an aircraft accident in France when she was a child. Halfway into her thirties, Rei decides to travel to France to visit the crash site of said accident for the first time. In France, Rei meets Shibusawa Kazunari, (Fujimoto Takahiro), the director of the budget bureau of the Ministry of Finance, and immediately falls in love with him. Kazunari lost his wife in the same accident and has two sons, who are both already adults by now. The oldest son (Saito Takumi) is follows in his father's footsteps and works at the Ministry of Finance as well. The younger one (Nagayama Kento) just graduated from law school and currently without a job. Rei gets married to Kazunari and starts to live together with him and his two sons. She really puts a lot of effort into adapting herself to the family of three adult men, but her beauty and young age soon bring discord into the Shibusawa family. The older son begins to feel attracted to her and Rei eventually returns his feelings, because she realizes that her feelings for Kazunari are only grounded in his resemblance to her late father. The story depicts a man's magical experience travelling back in time to redo his life and rebuild broken relations with his family. Nagata Kazuo visits his ageing father, Tadao, at the hospital but he was unable to fix their turbulent relationship. Upon returning home, he finds a divorce paper from his wife, Miyoko and also his son, Hiroki, behaving violently. As Kazuo always wanted to be a good father unlike his father, he thinks of committing suicide. One day, however, a wagon stops right next to Kazuo. The driver is Hashimoto and his son Kenta who allegedly died in an accident. Even though he didn't understand the situation, Kazuo gets on board and then mysteriously, he was joined by his father who looks like the same age as Kazuo. The drive to change Kazuo's regretful life begins!

Fumi becomes Genzui Kusaka’s wife. During the turbulent times of the closing days for the Tokugawa shogunate, she lives positively and tries to keep up Shoin Yoshida's will. Shoin Yoshida is her older brother and intellectual.

The story revolves around Take Seiji, who quits his job after three months. With no dreams, no savings, and a poor relationship with his family, he becomes a hikikomori. However, after his mother falls ill with depression, he ends up having to take on a part-time job at a construction site. Because of that, he soon decides to work towards rebuilding his life: "Even though I'm just a freeter, I'm going to buy a house for the sake of my family." One of the people he meets at the construction site is Chiba Manami, who graduated from a top-class university and joined a well-known general contracting firm. Manami is the complete opposite of Seiji. But while their personalities clash at first, they gradually come to understand each other.

Koji is a college student and aspiring photographer. One day, while Koji is taking pictures of families in a Tokyo park, a man suddenly appears within his camera's view and interrupts his shot. However, he's later contacted by the man with an odd request. Without revealing the purpose of the job, he asks Koji to take photographs of a woman who walks through the park with her young daughter. Koji agrees, but the strange task leads to changes in the relationships he has with the women in his life.

Those women include a longtime friend that Koji can talk to about anything and his step-sister, who offers both kindness and firm encouragement when he needs it. As Koji photographs the new third woman in his life, he feels as if she reminds him of someone from a distant memory.

The basis for the drama is the novel "Kashikogi" by author Cho Chang-in, which has sold 2 million copies in Korea since its publication in 2000. It has already been adapted as a television drama and a stage play in that country. On February 4, Shogakukan is publishing the book in Japan under the title "Good Life" Sorimachi plays the part of Daichi Sawamoto, a newspaper reporter who has always prioritized his work over his family. When his wife suddenly leaves him, he finally notices the love he has been receiving from his son. Just as he decides to answer back, it is discovered that his son has leukemia. Igawa plays Sawamoto's wife, Eikura plays a pediatrics specialist, and Ihara plays a doctor.

The story opens after a young female student kills herself by jumping off a balcony. It's soon discovered that she was in fact stabbed, and the room arranged to make it look like a suicide. And so we begin. A few minor details lead Detective Kanzo to suspect that Ryo , an enigmatic chef's assistant, knows more about her death.The two have run into each other by chance a few times, and each time left Kanzo with an uncomfortable feeling.
