Chihiro used to work as a prostitute. She happened to stop by a seaside town and have a bento meal there. She loved the meal so much, she decided to settled down in the seaside town and work at the bento shop. She now greets customers with a smile at the bento shop and makes small talk with them. She doesn't even hide her past. Chihiro talks with customers about various problems and, through their conversations, they are comforted by her. Chihiro herself suffers from loneliness, which started with her family when she was little. By meeting her customers, she also faces her loneliness and gets over that slowly.

Kirishima Kayako of the third grade at a high school feels a sense of isolation in school life and vague admiration and uneasiness in the future. One day she makes friends with Endo who is isolated from her surroundings because she remained in the same class for another year. Kayako is strongly attracted by Endo who shows her a world that she didn't know.

Honda Mami is 36-years-old and single. 10 years ago, she published an essay that became a big hit. She has since become a famous writer. She writes about the value of happiness in the lives of women. Her most recent published books have not been successful. Nevertheless, Honda Mami is still comfortable with her life. She is dating a younger man. People around her worry about her still being single.

Haruko is a single mother. She has an unusual living arrangement. She lives with her son Riku, her friend Aiko and Aiko's boyfriend Sorao. One day, Yuko stays at Haruko's house to attend an art institute for the summer. Yuko is the daughter of Haruko's old friend Tomoyo. They haven't spoken for many years prior to Tomoyo reaching out to Haruko to ask if her daughter could stay with her for the summer. Haruko and Tomoyo have an uncomfortable past.

Natsume Mochizuki was a magazine model in Tokyo but moves to the rural town of Ukigumocho. Mochizuki, feeling depressed about living in the boring countryside, meets Koichiro Hasegawa, a member of a locally prominent family of Shinto priests, and gets caught in an intense attraction… It’s an epic love story that intensely and beautifully depicts the feelings of omnipotence and frustration that comes with being a teenager.

Akiko, an editor at a publishing company, has been living with her mother all this while. One day, her mother’s sudden death and an unreasonable personnel transfer makes her decide to take over the eatery that her mother was running. She remodels the eatery to her tastes. The new store, called sandwich a, has a simple menu of breads and soups. It is a small, cosy cafe with Akiko and a helper, Shima-chan. Customers gradually start to come in. The florist Yamada also visits despite his confusion about the store change and stuffs himself with sandwiches. One day, a cat unexpectedly appears in front of Akiko as if someone had sent it. The story depicts a man's magical experience travelling back in time to redo his life and rebuild broken relations with his family. Nagata Kazuo visits his ageing father, Tadao, at the hospital but he was unable to fix their turbulent relationship. Upon returning home, he finds a divorce paper from his wife, Miyoko and also his son, Hiroki, behaving violently. As Kazuo always wanted to be a good father unlike his father, he thinks of committing suicide. One day, however, a wagon stops right next to Kazuo. The driver is Hashimoto and his son Kenta who allegedly died in an accident. Even though he didn't understand the situation, Kazuo gets on board and then mysteriously, he was joined by his father who looks like the same age as Kazuo. The drive to change Kazuo's regretful life begins!

Hikaru is a mildly incompetent bookstore employee who‘s just a bit too nice for his own good. He‘s also an aspiring manga artist, and distributes mysterious “Debikuro Communication” flyers at night. On Christmas night, a miracle is created by the love Hikaru and three other people in his life - his attentive childhood friend Anna, a world-famous lighting designer named So-yeon whom he meets by coincidence, and a former university classmate named Kitayama who‘s gone on to become a popular manga artist.

Naoko Noda, who works in a trading company, is called "anego" by her younger co-workers. What is "anego"? It means "older sister," but in this case it is given as a nickname to Naoko because she is like a big sister to her coworkers, who depend on her to give them advice about everything. This drama, depicts realistically how Naoko lives her everyday life, including her love life, the problems she faces, and her uneasiness about the future.

Set within the fictional city of Mahoro, Tada Keisuke runs a "benriya" - a general problem solver for hire. His assistant is his former high school classmate Gyoten Haruhiko. A big crisis then occurs for them. ~~ Based on the novel "Mahoro Eki Mae Kyousoukyoku" by Shion Miura.

Asako lives in Kichijōji, Tokyo. She works as a popular manga artist. Everyday, she is busy meeting deadlines, but suddenly her pet Saba dies. Since the death of her pet, Asako cannot draw or even eat. Her editor Omori recommends to Asako to try moving to a particular house. After she moves in, her life does not get better.

One day, when Asako walks in Inokashira Park, she meets a homeless person carrying a sick kitten. Asako wants to help the sick cat. Without telling the homeless person, Asako takes the cat to the hospital.

May 9, 2003 - The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) launches its unmanned spacecraft Hayabusa into orbit. Its mission is to collect samples from a near Earth asteroid named 25143 Itokawa. Hayabusa is scheduled to make contact with the asteroid in November 2005. As the spacecraft approaches its rendezvous date with the asteroid problems arise for the JAXA staff back on Earth. 

25-year-old Kotaro Ozu (Takahiro Miura) was an ordinary salaryman, but he decided to quit his job. He then begins work as a teacher at an all-girl high school. 32-year-old Takako Hara works at the same school as Kotaro. Takako begins to have feelings for Kotaro, who is younger than her. Even though Kotaro has a fiance, they are attracted to each other. Meanwhile, Akio Kurosawa (Shunsuke Nakamura), who had a relationship with Takako, still has feelings for her. 

'Subete wa Kimi ni Aeta Kara' follows various different people and couples in 6 loosely connected stories. All of the stories are set at Tokyo Station and take place just before Christmas. The different characters range from a company president who distrusts human beings, to a train driver who just received the shocking diagnosis that he has only half a year left to live. # "Eve no Koibito" ('Christmas Eve Lover') - A company president (Tamaki) meets a woman (Takanashi), who just lost a beloved person, in a restaurant at Tokyo Station. He thinks that all women only like his money and enjoys being alone. She originally moved to Tokyo to become an actress, but now she is planning to go back to her hometown right after her short play at an orphanage. # "Enkyori Renai" ('Long Distance Relationship') - A love-dovey couple that is going through a long distance relationship. She (Kimura) is an aspiring fashion designer in Tokyo and he (Higashide) is a construction worker in Sendai. Will their hectic schedules allow them to at least meet each other on Christmas? # "Christmas Present" - Ichikawa plays a woman who works in an orphanage. That day she is waiting for the new mother of the 7-year-old Akane to come and pick her up. # "Nibun no Ichi Seijin Shiki" ('A Half Coming-Of-Age Ceremony') - A train driver (Tokito) who cannot bring himself to tell his son that he only has half a year left to live. The train driver's wife is played by Otsuka. # "Christmas no Yuuki" ('Christmas Courage') - A part-timer (Honda) at a cake shop has a crush on her senior at work, but she lacks the courage to approach him. # "Okurete Kita Present" ('Belated Present') - The owner of the cake shop at Tokyo Station (Baisho) gets reminded of a promise that she made with a certain someone (Kobayashi) 49 years ago.

Suzuhara Nao, an expert observer of migratory birds, becomes a substitute teacher at an elementary school. She's in charge of of first-year students and doesn't have much passion for her job. One of her young students named Reina becomes attached to her new teacher.

One day, Nao knows about bruises on Reina and realizes that she is the victim of child abuse. At first Nao doesn't say anything, but Nao notices more bruises with each passing day and Reina's absences from school become more frequent. Nao's maternal instincts kicks in and she decides to take care of Reina. Nao & Reina then takes a train from their native Hokkaido to Tokyo ...

Tamako, an elite lawyer with a promising future, works for a reputable law firm. She is recently given an opportunity to take a case involving a young child who has been bullied at a local elementary school. Fully aware of the difficulties uncovering the truth in cases involving schools, Tamako is reluctant to proceed with her new client. Tamako is romantically involved with one of her colleagues, Naoyuki, and is hoping to further develop their relationship. However, Tamako's seemingly happy life comes to a sudden halt when she learns the news of an accident involving a young female high school student named Asuka. Asuka had apparently fallen from a classroom window on campus and suffered serious injuries. Tamako takes a strong interest in Asuka's case and immediately launches her own private investigation.

Having achieved his life-long dream of being a pilot, Hajime is first officer on an international jetliner and is now working to become a captain. He can't seem to please Captain Koda, who has become an exacting taskmaster since an air incident many years ago. To complicate matters, he begins a relationship with stubborn and straight-talking mechanic, Ayumi, whose parents died many years ago in the plane crash for which Captain Koda feels he is responsible. What follows is a story of 21st century love, dreams, and passion.
