7 huge holes suddenly appear in locations around Japan. The holes appear in random places like in the sky, in the middle of a road, in a field, or in the middle of the city. Citizens are confused about the holes, and different investigations are carried out about the holes, but the true nature of the holes remains known. As time goes by, people begin to live with these holes. Many people go into the holes, but nobody has returned from the holes.

Then, a man named Ozawa appears who worships the holes as a god. He insists that salvation can be found in the hole. Eight people who are followers of Ozawa gather at a resort facility. The eight people are Kawabata, Sugaya, Matsuoka, Aoyama, Watanabe, Shingo, Iguchi, and Okamoto. Following Ozawa's rule, they must talk about why they want to go and record themselves before they enter the hole.

One summer, by chance, Momo sets off on a trip. She meets seven people, each of whom is dealing with their own difficulties in life.

Hairdresser Eri and accountant Hiroyuki are a remarried couple in their 40s. The two of them go on trips, enjoy meals, and enjoy an elegant life. The only things Eri is worried about are the slight deterioration of her appearance, the recent sexlessness, and the fact that she has given up having children. Eri has no complaints about her marriage, but she should have. However, a mysterious woman appears in front of Hiroyuki, and the couple encounters a mysterious and unbelievable event.

Seiya, Rin, Reira, Takashi, and Nakayama, who attend the same high school, are childhood friends. One day, Rin and Eri meet at a movie theater.

Ishikawa Kazuto is a first-class architect. He is married to Kiyomi. They have a son, Tadashi, who attends high school and a daughter, Miyabi, who attends middle school. They live together in a refined home, designed by Kazuto.

An injury causes Tadashi to quit playing soccer. Since that time, Tadashi often stays out all night without permission. One evening, Tadashi leaves home and does not return. Kazuto and Kiyomi become worried about their son and consider going to the police. News then reveals the murder of Tadashi's classmate. The police suspect that Tadashi might be involved in the murder.

Suda Tamio is an ordinary salaryman. He experiences various stress throughout his daily life. His only pleasure is to set out on trips to find "Zetsumeshi." Zetsumeshi refers to endangered meals, that may no longer exist in the future. While his wife Kanae and child go attend concerts by their favourite idol groups, he leaves home on Friday after work and returns home Saturday night.

Sakagami Takumi, a high school student, is assigned to his class’s Community Outreach Committee. One day, his homeroom teacher also assigns his classmates Naruse Jun, a girl who is unable to speak because of a past trauma, Tasaki Daiki, a former ace player on the baseball team, and Nitoh Natsuki, a cheerleader and straight-A student, to the Committee. Each one of them harbors feelings that they "long to shout" in their hearts. Because of their homeroom teacher's foresight, their class ends up having to perform a musical at the exchange party, but nobody in the class seems willing. But as they see Jun courageously making an effort to communicate her feelings by singing, Takumi and the other classmates who were reluctant begin to participate in a positive way.

The day of the performance arrives. Will they be able to convey their true feelings they have locked away in their hearts?
