Original story by Yasushi AKIMOTO, writer of the mega hit movie One Missed Call (Chakushin Ari) series. As the project was in development with an idea of an “infectious song (Densen-Uta)”, one of the staff called out…”There was a real Densen-Uta!” He discovers on the internet of a song back in 1933, Hungary, which caused mysterious deaths of many people. When Anzu Natsuno hears a hauntingly beautiful song come from the lips of a girl who just moments later commits suicide on her schools premises, she begins to look deeper into her school and the song. Meanwhile, Takashi, an editor at a B-grade subculture magazine, hears a rumor about a song that will cause its listeners to die. In half disbelief, he looks into the truth. But when Takashi runs across Anzu in his persuit, the two step closer towards the shocking truth.

Just when everything seemed to go well for Ji An Lei, series of unfortunate events happened. Her promotion got stolen by an outside hire, her boyfriend dumped her, and she got an unwanted roommate. When she discovers her new roommate had come all the way from New Zealand to win the love of his dream girl, who happens to be her boss' daughter and her ex's new girlfriend, she joins him on an "Operation Fighting for Love."

Sui Tang Yanyi begins in the 580s with the conquest of the Chen dynasty (557-589) by the Sui dynasty under Emperor Wen, and concludes with the return of the Tang dynasty's Emperor Xuanzong to the capital Chang'an in 758 near the end of the An Lushan Rebellion (755-763).

The plot is made up of three main story lines.

The first, with Emperor Yang of Sui and his concubine Zhu Gui'er (朱貴兒) as the central characters, covers the events in the political arena and inner palace in the final years of the Sui dynasty.

The second story line narrates a turbulent period known as the transition from Sui to Tang, when heroes such as Qin Shubao,Shan Xiongxin (單雄信), Cheng Yaojin (程咬金) and Xu Maogong rise up to overthrow the Sui dynasty, followed by stories of how Li Shimin (the future Emperor Taizong of Tang) defeated his rivals and eventually solidified the Tang dynasty's sovereignty over China.

The last story line tells of the romance between Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Consort Yang, and the events of the An Lushan Rebellion.

Kyoko Ogawa (Riho Yoshioka) is a woman in her 20's and she works at an underwear company. Because of her mother, Kyoko Ogawa has suffered from low self-esteem since she was a child. She is also shaken by two men: Kojiro Yoshizaki (Kenta Kiritani) and Ren Hoshina (Osamu Mukai). Kojiro Yoshizaki works as an editor for a manga magazine. He is bright, funny and a nice person. Ren Hoshina is a guy that Kyoko Ogawa dated when she attended college. Ren Hoshina was able to see her weakness and was controlling over her. At her job at the underwear company, Ren Hoshina appears in front of her as her boss.
