She asks Chang Rae to cook for her everyday, even though the only thing he knows how to make is ramen. Chang Rae begins to cook for his wife and she eats little bits of his food, which he cooks with love and care.

Do Chi Gwang is an elite detective. He is thoughtful and smart. He is also proud of his record of catching criminals. After going through a series of cases, he realizes the importance of work done by the police on corruption. Do Chi Gwang then becomes the chief of the internal affairs investigation team.

Kim Young Koon is a police officer and member of the mobile patrol team. He acts cold to other people, but he is actually tender with a warm personality. He does not associate with other people. By accident, he happens to meet Do Chi Gwang. Do Chi Gwang got involved in a the tragic affair, which Kim Young Koon tries to forget. To find the truth behind that case, he joins the internal affairs investigation team.

A pawnbroker is found murdered in a remote town. Police suspect that he was murdered by an acquaintance, as even the most experienced investigator on the case could identify no signs of resistance. Three people come under suspicion but all of them have perfect alibis and the investigation comes to a standstill. One year later, one of them is found dead and the original murder case becomes even more mysterious. Almost fifteen years pass and the lead inspector, now approaching retirement, reflects on the only case he could not solve in an otherwise successful career. Haunted by a sense of responsibility and guilt that he caused suffering by letting the murder case go unsolved, he decides to re-investigate. Dol-Seok (Han Suk-Kyu) is the best master artisan in charge of royal attire. He views set rules as paramount to his job. Kong-Jin (Ko Soo) is a genius like designer, born with dexterity and an excellent sense. He was brought to the palace by nobleman Pan-Soo (Ma Dong-Seok) who first spotted his talent.

The King (Yoo Yeon-Seok) and Queen (Park Shin-Hye) then become embroiled in a critical case because of the royal attire made by Dol-Seok and Kong-Jin.

On a weekend, Sang Jin drives out to the Gimcheon Arts High School from his home in nearby Daegu City to meet with the principle and a new transfer student. Before getting to the school, Sang Jin pulls into the parking lot of a highway rest stop area. While parking his car, he scratches a black car parked next to him. Three men get out of the parked black car and threaten Sang Jin. Then a young teen named Jang Ho slowly steps out of the car. Sang Jin becomes frightened out of his wits, but the young teen Jang Ho ignores him and walks straight to his old beat up car. He peers inside the music teacher's car and listens to the opera music playing out of the teacher's car stereo. Jang Ho then orders his three men to get the man's driver's license and then let him go.

Later at the principle's office, Sang Jin complains to Principle Deok Saeng about the new transfer student's transcripts. Sang Jin tells him that the guy must be a troublemaker if this is his 4th high school, but Principle Deok Saeng assures Sang Jin that the new transfer student is talented and he could help the school win at an upcoming music competition.

Then, the door to the principle's office opens and the new transfer student walks in. Their new transfer student is Jang Ho, whom Sang Jin already met in the parking lot at the rest stop area. Jang Ho is an enforcer for a powerful mafia group in Daegu City, but all he really wants to do is sing.

Early in his reign, King Se Jong accidentally causes the death of his in-laws and their slaves in an attempt to save them from his brutal father, King Tae Jong. Two young slaves, Ddol Bok and his friend Dam, survive but neither knows the other has. Ddol Bok blames the king and vows to kill him to avenge the deaths of everyone he loved. He spends several years becoming a great warrior. Dam, who has a photographic memory, becomes a court lady called So Yi, but she feels so guilty about her role in the other slaves' deaths that she is mute.

Ddol Bok returns to the palace under the name of Kang Chae Yoon in order to kill the king. However, he becomes embroiled in the mystery surrounding the deaths of several Hall of Worthies scholars. The deaths were caused by a secret society called "Hidden Root," which was created long ago by followers of Jeong Do Jeon, with the goal of giving more power to ministers and less to the king. King Tae Jong killed Jeong Do Jeon and all of his family except his nephew, Jeong Gi Joon, who is now the leader of Hidden Root and lives in disguise not far from King Se Jong.

Sung-chan is a top detective of the special crime squad. He is notorious for punishing the opponent who hurts his pride. When Hyun-min impersonates Sung-chan and robs a cash transport car under the daylight, and seizes $10 billion worth of smuggled gold right before the cops eyes, Sung-chan is outraged. He cannot let this criminal slip through. Sung-chan goes after Hyun-min like a wild beast going after its prey, but Hyun-min cunningly threads through the investigation, even leaving traces in the crime scenes on purpose to allure and provoke Sung-chan.

A series of black garbage bags filled with dismembered body parts begin to show up around the city: in an elevator, on a highway, at the edge of a basketball court, and rendering the victims nearly impossible to identify. The killer's motive is a complete mystery. Leading the investigation is Detective Cho, a burnt-out cop trying to redeem himself with this case. Setting up a special squad dedicated to these gruesome murders, Cho and his partner, the veteran Detective Oh, map out the order of the murders, interchanging the parts like pieces in a grotesque puzzle. Mystified by the surgical precision of the dismemberments and finding a medical antiseptic called "Hexamedrin" spread all over the bodies, the detectives start suspecting a doctor or a biologist as the killer.

A break opens up when Cho is led to a beautiful and enigmatic young artist, Chae Su Yeon, whom all the victims have had relations with. But besides this revealing breakthrough, Cho is far from solving the case. Still not having found a motive, Cho is grasping for many clues. As the murders continue, Cho is drawn closer to Su Yeon and begins unravelling her tortured past, leading to new questions and suspects. Cho and Oh subsequently discover that her father, a famous painter, mysteriously disappeared years before. Cho decides to investigate her late college classmate and current colleague Ki Yeon, and her friend, Sung Min.

While Cho questions Ki Yeon, the fragile Su Yeon is attacked but manages to escape. After being released from police custody, Ki Yeon disappears, and the next morning Detective Cho is notified of the fourth murder. Under the rainy urban landscape of Korea's capital, another garbage bag is discovered on a highway. This time, the corpse is a head-less Ki Yeon.

North Korea's 8th Special Forces hijacks a shipment of CTX, a potent new liquid explosive, and threatens South Korea as part of a plot to re-unify the two countries.Ryu and Lee, special agents of O.P., South Korea's secret intelligence service, attempt to track down the terrorists and find the CTX. Somewhere in Seoul, Jung Won runs a small shabby photo studio. A humble shack passed down from his widower father, the studio is a space where Jung Won goes about with his daily routine of dealing with fussy customers, enlarging photos of class heartthrobs for the neighbourhood kids and photographing pictures to place on funeral altars. For Jung Won, life seems to be a series of peaceful events, but in reality, his time on earth is too limited for comfort. Barely in his mid-30's but perhaps too aware of the meaning of death, Jung Won accepts his fate despite the subtle gestures of concern coming from his old father and younger sister.

Life goes on as usual until, one day, he meets Da Rim, who works at the Traffic Control Division of the local district office and who is a regular customer at the studio. Her daily visits to develop snapshots of parking violations and her somewhat bold attempts to capture his attention stirs a feeling inside Jung Won with which he deals in anticipation. As his health gradually deteriorates, Jung Won is faced with the painful duty of bidding farewell to family, friends, to the studio and Darim.

The male radio presenter Dong Hyun and the female TV home-shopping phone operator Soo Hyun are both lonely. While Dong Hyun is focused on getting back to his ex-girlfriend Young Hae who has sent him a special LP, Soo Hyun is crazy for her friend's boyfriend. Via the Internet and music Soo Hyun and Dong Hyun get together in a special way.
