“Oasis” is set in the turbulent times of South Korea between the ’80s and ’90s. It depicts the fierce life, revenge, and conflict of young people who have to pursue power and wealth by any means in an era filled with wrong social values.

Lee Doo Hak is a young man who was born in a small city in Jeolla Province and grew up innocent with a clever brain. Ah Jin, who is beautiful and has a nice figure, enjoys a splendidly luxurious life after marrying into a rich family. While offering pro bono services arranged by the firm, Joon Yeong meets Hyun Woo, and they begin their journey to prove Hyun Woo's innocence.

Byun Jae Wook is a short-tempered prosecutor with a propensity for violence, famous for his tough investigations and who only pursues the truth. When a suspect under his interrogation is found dead, Jae Wook is arrested, falsely accused of murder and imprisoned for 15 years .

While in jail, he plans out his revenge mission and finds the most talented criminals in the ward to help him out. Five years later, Jae Wook meets good-looking, brilliant con artist and schemer Chi Won in prison.

Feeling he could carry out his plan outside of prison, Jae Wook gets Chi Won acquitted, using his knowledge as a former prosecutor. Jae Wook’s ragtag team of ex-cons will now enact a revenge plan against the organization that framed him.

In 1970s, during the height of political corruption, Gangnam, the southern part of Seoul is starting to be transformed into developed area. Childhood friends Jong Dae and Yong Ki struggled to get by, until their shanty homes are demolished by local thugs. Meanwhile, Yong Ki has joined Seoul’s most powerful criminal gangs organization, the Myeongdong-pa and as a member he has been entangled in a high stakes battle over lands in Gangnam, all in the name of putting together secret presidential election funds that drive up the value of the city. As the gangs fight over the rights to various plots, Yong Ki is captured and interrogated by a rival gang.

Jong-Dae (Lee Min-Ho) and Yong-Ki (Kim Rae-Won) grew up in an orphanage like real brothers. After they leave the orphanage, they make a living by picking up paper and empty bottles. Jong-Dae then becomes involved in a struggle of interests over development in Gangnam, Seoul. In the process, he lives with Gil-Soo (Jung Jin-Young) and Sun-Hye (Seol Hyun) as they accept Jong-Dae like a family member. Jong-Dae also becomes a gang member.
