"Next Girlz" is a survival show where 54 female trainees, ages ranging from 13 to 28, are divided into six groups, with nine members in each group. The groups are represented by a brokerage company, and each team has its own representative crystal and colour that represent the different styles of the group.

This season differs from the previous seasons, as this season will have a live audience. The scoring of the trainees will be done by the audience and online popularity. The brokerage company will select the challenges. Some of the challenges are song adaptation and mentor collaboration. There is also a hidden mystery group that will be revealed after three months of competition. This will affect the outcome of the next round. The mentors will not participate in the scoring of the contestants.

In this year's show, there are a number of foreign trainees including from France, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam and more, to attract international interest in the show and the new girl group.

At court, Zhu You Wen forms a bond with a woman named Ma Zhai Xing, the daughter of a government official.

Despite his lofty status at court, Zhu You Wen is motivated by a strong sense of justice that was instilled in him during his years of living in the wild. He and Ma Zhai Xing begin to form a romantic bond.
