Third season of Cold Case: Shinjitsu no Tobira.

Remake of the U.S. drama "Cold Case" (2003).

Like the original series, "SPEC" will revolve around a pair of police detectives as part of a special division solving difficult cases (Mishou). Touma Saya is a woman with an IQ of 201 and an inability to "read the atmosphere" in social situations. Due to a previous case, her left arm is in a sling. Her partner Sebumi Takeru used to be the star performer of the Metropolitan Police. After some incident however, he was transferred to Mishou. Those two track down offenders with special abilities(SPEC) who managed to get away with their crimes.

Small and medium subcontractor production companies currently support the TV industry. Chocolate TV is one such company with 20 employees. It undertakes various productions such as varieties, documentaries and dramas. The height of glory of the TV industry is already a thing of the past. Like any ordinary company, they have to be careful of key networks and sponsors as well as struggle to keep alive amidst the meager budgets and tough viewership ratings race. Chocolate TV’s president Aramaki Genjiro worked in the industry as a variety programme director and built the company in one generation. The programmes he takes on all have issues. Each time, his employees would unite, devote themselves to producing a programme and ride out the hardships of the TV world.

Mako Watsuji (Emi Takei) is from a rich family that surrounded her with an abundance of love. As a result, Mako Watsuji wants to build her life by herself. Satsuki Kurasawa (Emi Takei) doesn't have parents and suffers from loneliness. She lives in poverty and has a strong desire for love, money and power. One day, Mako Watsuji and Satsuki Kurasawa meet by chance and change each others lives. 

“IS” stands for “intersexual,” a term referring to people who cannot clearly be classified as male or female, and who may biologically possess characteristics of both sexes. Rokuhana's manga primarily deals with the troubles faced by the young Hoshino Haru (played by Fukuda), an intersexual who was registered as a girl at birth but has been raised as a boy.

Goriki plays Aihara Miwako, a mysterious classmate who tries to get close to Haru. Inoue Masahiro has been cast as Ibuki Kenji, a member of the soccer club whom Haru begins having feelings for. Nishida Naomi and Minami Kaho play Miwako's and Haru's mothers, respectively.

Shun (Fukuda Saki), who has tattoos and piercings all over her body, is the third generation descendant of a Japanese orphan left behind in China during World War II. Takeru (Matsushita Yuya) is a lonely and reckless hooligan whose family was murdered when he was a child. Shun, Takeru and Kasumi (Watanabe Natsuna) with an equally troubled past and background, become collaborators after being hired by Kuchinawa (Kamikawa Tamaya) in police undercover operations in the city of 'Midori', a neighbourhood for illegal residents. They infiltrate a criminal gang to investigate, and find illicit human drug experiments and slave treatment staring them in the face. They grow to trust one another and mature through this experience.

At an all girl school, a group of girls annually stages a play. This year they pick Anton Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard." After vigorous rehearsals the play faces cancellation because one student gets caught smoking after school.
