"Taiwan Crime Story" is inspired by the bizarre real crime cases in Taiwan.

Adapted from the column "Tokyo Women's Campaign" serialized in 2015 by the magazine "Tokyo Calendar".

Taking the hotel on Linsen North Road in Taiwan as the background, it is a realistic drama that describes the love and hatred between the Japanese-style hotel proprietress and Yang Jin Hua in 1988 and a group of amorous ladies under her.

The ten-episode series will feature star-crossed lovers Chang Che Kai and Sung Yuan-Yuan from their student days to adulthood, while diving into the backstories of other supporting characters.

Nowhere Man follows the death row inmate Quan who learned of his son being kidnapped while waiting for the execution in jail. To save his son and protect his family, Quan schemes a jailbreak, only to find himself in an even more dangerous collision. From time to time, Quan falls into the state of half-sleep and he will lead the viewer onto the freeway of redemption. It is a story woven with moving brotherhood, intricate gangster backdrop and breathtaking jail escape.

Ever since his childhood growing up in an orphanage, there has always been something about Zhang Liang that makes almost anyone willing to open up to him. One day, he came across a nameless bookstore where he began making a living by resolving other people’s relationship conflicts. At this bookstore he falls in love, is reunited with his best friend and, in the course of resolving other people’s problems, even finds hislong-lost mother. As love, friendship, and kinship converge and begin to collide in his life, he must now figure out how to resolve the emergent relationship issues in his own life.

"Juliet's Choice" (By Hou Chi Jan)

Taiwan in the 1970s. Xiu Zhu is a printing worker with handicapped legs who gives up on love. Everything changes when she meets a university student, Luo Wei, who requests her factory to print a newspaper, where the content is critical with the views about social reform.

As Taiwan was under martial law during that period, the factory owner had to reject his request. In order to gain Luo Wei's attention and possibly love, Xiu Zhu promises him to privately print the newspaper by herself, no matter how serious the consequences would be, and Luo Wei reacts with a smile. Can their love begin from this?

"Two Juliets" (By Shen Ko Shang)

Thirty years ago, a dancing troupe owner's daughter Julie fell in love with the puppeteer's son, Xiao Luo. During festive seasons the two families would perform together, and soon it turns into a business rivalry. As a result of this, both fathers hate each other and forbid their children to be in love.

Julie and Xiao Luo are secretly in love, and their meeting place is a mental hospital located on the hill. One day, Julie's father finds out about their relationship, and their relationship ends. Before Xiao Luo leaves, he asks her to disguise herself as a mental patient in the hospital and wait for his return. Will Xiao Luo ever return to meet Julie?

"Another Juliet" (By Chen Yu Hsun)

After failing love 28 times, 40-year-old bachelor Chu Li Ye decides to take his own life on a mountain. However, there is a tv crew making commercials nearby, they not only save him but also invite him to join as an extra actor. This opportunity turns him into a star, and suddenly, he has the courage to live on. And perhaps, looking for love once again on the 29th attempt?

Seven boys form a tight knit gang lead by Yen. They drink beer, smoke cigarettes and ride motorbikes: behaviour pretty much typical of teenagers. The movie is focused on exploring the nature of their friendships and how they change through time.

Although this is predominantly a film about male relationships, the role played by Xiao Yun (Yen's girlfriend) is interesting. Just as the boys struggle to come to terms with the world and their expectations, Xiao Yun struggles to break free from her relationship with Yen. Tang, Yen's best friend, fancies Xiao Yun but never has the courage to tell her. In the end Xiao Yun shows more courage than Tang in dealing with the relationship. The movie shows the difficulties both men and women face in their gender roles.
