In June 1993, the transnational cooperation between Donghai Chemical and Luoda Company was in full swing. Song Yun Hui, the key person behind the joint venture with Donghai, is leading the workers of Pengyang, a factory inferior to Donghai in all aspects, to begin its process of reform. Despite the difficulties in narrowing the gap between the two companies, Yunhui continues to adhere to his original intentions.

Lei Dong Bao leads Dengfeng Electric and merges with small factories to establish a cluster. He sets rules, finds investments, engages in foreign trade, and experiences the reality of human relationships. Nonetheless, he makes sure to always put the interests of the people first.

Yang Xun and Liang Si Shen are working together to build a shopping mall. In the midst of things, Liang Si Shen tries her best to balance Luoda's and Donghai's interests. The two gradually open their hearts in their cooperation to face future challenges hand in hand. During the war between Wei and Shu, the Shu defeated the Wei using the crossbows they make. In order to attain this powerful weapon, the Wei sent numerous spies to infiltrate the Shu kingdom and steal it. Chen Gong and Xun Xu are Shu spies who have infiltrated Wei kingdom for many years. After knowing the plan of Wei, they decided to work separately to stop it. Chen Gong continued to stay in Wei kingdom, while Xun Xu went back to Shu kingdom to investigate. In the midst of investigation, Xun Xu finds out the thief of the crossbows - Mei Chong. He also discovers a highly skilled spy named Zhu Long who is ambushed in Shu kingdom, who is waiting for the opportunity to initiate the Qing Ping plan. Xun Xu devised a scheme to hook Mei Chong, using it as an opportunity to destroy the spy network in Shu kingdom.

Despite eventually capturing Gao Chengtang, a corrupted officer, the real Zhu Long is actually someone else. Chen Gong also ends his spy career in Wei kingdom, and goes back to Shu kingdom. Together, Xun Xu and Cheng Gong investigates the Zhu Long incident and discovers the truth behind the Qing Ping plan.

He brings his family to live with him in Donghai, but his wife Cheng Kai Yan’s laziness and distrust take a toll on their marriage that eventually ends in divorce. With his innate business capabilities, Song Yun Hui continues to take up leadership roles thus bringing his team success as they complete project after project. Sadly, Song Yun Hui's climb in the corporate ladder instils envy in those around him. Xiao Lei's family business keeps growing with the times, yet a small blunder in the safety procedures causes a massive explosion in their copper factory. Lei Dong Bao is charged with bribery and sentenced to jail. After being released, he starts his own business as an electrical distributor. Wei Chun Hong, on the other hand, is always by his side, supporting and encouraging him. Arriving in Donghai to seek opportunities, Yang Xun finds success in the current markets. While working with Liang Si Zhong, he starts to admire and develop feelings for her all while he continues to create fake accounts that harm the company. Liang Si Zhong’s father discovers this and intervenes, dealing a huge blow to Yang Xun’s career. As Yang Xun falls to the lowest point in his life, he finds comfort in someone close to him.
