In the midst of war, four young men fall in love.

In 1765, as the invading Angwa (Burmese) army marched towards the capitol of Ayutthaya Kingdom (Siam), they encountered little resistance from the Ayutthaya army, who retreated to defend from behind the capitol's walls.

Three childhood friends, in the Ayutthaya army, are constantly at odds. Thap wants to fight bravely, as Sang and Khap follow orders and retreat. Unhappy with the army, Thap defects and joins a group of patriotic rebels who eventually all gather at the village of Bang Rajan to defend against the Angwa.

Thap is patient, brave and righteous. Sang is hotheaded, stubborn, and overbearing. He is also ambitious and knows how to talk his way to a promotion. Khap is gentle, follows Sang's lead, but is also smart and wise to Sang's bravado. Sang is competitive and wants to win over Thap, but their personalities are not the only thing driving the rift. Sang loves Juang, Thap's sister, while Khap is madly in love with Feung, Thap's fiancee.

Thap does not want his, or Feung's family, to retreat to the capitol, although he has to be in hiding as a deserter. Sang takes this opportunity to be the protector of Juang and Feung. He convinces Khap that they must kidnap the girls and take them to the capitol for safety, while Thap is in pursuit to retrieve them. Also for the girls' protection, Sang and Khap declare that Juang and Feung are their wives. Along the way, they meet the mysterious Jai, who has fallen for the brave and patriotic Sapai.

The village of Bang Rajan, according to Thai tradition, is where a group of brave villagers, gathered from various regions, put up a brave fight and fought eight battles against the well organised invaders and became legendary heroes. The battle for Bang Rajan is a symbol of determination and heroism against overwhelming odds.

Mootha, the naive and innocent twin, came to find a job in Bangkok where she met Veekit, her co-worker. They became friends and Veekit started to like her, but she only liked him as a friend, he was heartbroken but continued to be there to help her. When she met her boss, a managing director, named Janepope, she fell in love with him. Janepope is a player, he already has a wife and 3 kids, but he tricked Mootha into falling for him anyway. When his wife found out that he was having an affair with Mootha, she humiliated Mootha at work and told Janepope to stop seeing her. Mootha became depressed when she found out that Janepope wasn't allowed to see her. Due to the humiliation, she went back home where she committed suicide, which was on the same day as when her older twin sister, Moonin, came home. Moonin felt that she was one of the caused for her sister's death, so she decided to get revenge for her sister by going back to Bangkok and pretended to be Mootha. Saichon is an islander living on Min island. One day, destiny leads him to find Fahlada, a 17 years old girl lying unconscious on the beach. When she wakes up, he realizes that she lost all her memories. Saichon takes care of her and names her Nang Fah (angel) because he doesn't know her real name and she doesn't remember it. They fall in love with each other and live together.

One day, Chompooprae, Fahlada's adopted sister saw her sister's picture in the tourist magazine, so she sends people to take Fahlada back. Chompooprae needs Fahlada in order for her to succeed in her adopted family's business. Chompooprae hires Yasa and his men to bring Fahlada back even though she fights to stay with Saichon. Saichon gets shot and has to recover all by himself. Fahlada gets shock therapy treatment until she regains her memories, but she loses her memories about Saichon and everything during the time that she was missing on Min Island. Chompooprae lies to her sister and doesn't tell her anything about Min island.

When Saichon awakens, he is devastated to learn that his Nang Fah is gone. He decides to go to Bangkok to look for her. Many years later, Saichon comes back from America to take care of the airline company in Thailand. He meets Chompooprae because she's the business partner he needs to work with. Chompooprae falls in love with him at first sight even though she is already engaged to P'Mor. So, she introduces him to her sister. Saichon is surprised and very glad when he meets Fahlada again. However, he is very hurt and angry because Fahlada doesn't remember him at all.
