Gi Cheol begins work as a contract gym teacher at a high school in a quiet countryside village. He feels weird because a female high school student went missing, but nobody in the village seems to care. Only Yoo Jin, who is the missing girl’s friend, is sure that her friend has been kidnapped. Yoo Jin and GiCheol work together to find the missing girl, but Gi Cheol learns that traces of the missing girl are disappearing.

Go Ae Rin is a single mother who, after unexpectedly losing her husband, gets involved in a spy war. She lives in the apartment in front of Kim Bon. Kim Bon, who's code name is Terius, is a legendary black ops agent for the National Intelligence Service (NIS) who has gone into hiding after disappearing without a trace. 3 years ago, in a failed secret operation, he lost the woman he loved. Since then, Kim Bon has hid away in his apartment, next to Go Ae Rin, isolated from the world around him and living in secrecy trying to uncover the mystery behind what happened back then. When a mysterious incident arises, in which Go Ae Rin's husband dies, they both team up to uncover a huge conspiracy which Go Ae Rin's husband had become involved in. Joining them is Jin Young Tae, a former con man, who may hold the key to what Go Ae Rin and Kim Bon are searching for, and Yoo Ji Yeon, a fellow NIS agent, who appears cold and unfeeling on the outside but harbours feelings towards Kim Bon, who she is kind towards.

Bo Hee works at a toy company. She is viewed favorably at work and is set for a promotion, but when she made a stupid mistake, she was then fired from her job. Bo Hee opens her eyes to the world of ‘real’ joy with the help of her neighbor who runs an adult toy shop, CASA AMOR. Now she bursts out ideas as a marketer to promote adult toys instead of children’s, she then starts an adult products business with Nan Hee.

Prince Sungwon (Kim Dong-Wook) sees Hwa-Yeon (Jo Yeo-Jeong), the daughter of a wealthy nobleman, for the first time and falls in love, but Hwa-Yeon loves Kwon-Yoo (Kim Min-Jun). Kwon-Yoo saved her father's life and now lives with her family.

Meanwhile, Prince Sungwon's mother (Park Ji-Young) notices her son's infatuation with Hwa-Yeon, but she doesn't think Hwa-Yeon is good enough for her son. Prince Sungson's mother then schemes to have Hwa-Yeon become the concubine to her stepson the King (Jung Chan). Hwa-Yeon and her true love Kwon-Yoo run away when they learn of this plan, but are soon captured by her father's men. In order to save Kwon-Yoo's life, Hwa-Yeon agrees to become the King's Concubine.

Hwa-Yeon gives birth to a son a little bit less than a year later. She will then become a Queen. Several years later, the King becomes sick and dies suddenly. Prince Sungwon becomes the King, but his mother now wields true power. Hwa-Yeon then learns that the King's stepmother had the King killed to put Prince Sungwon on the throne. Hwa-Yeon also realizes that to survive in the royal palace and protect her own son, she will have to change.

King Sungwon is now agonized over his desires for his deceased brother's wife Hwa-Yeon and his mother's domineering ways. One day, Hwa-Yeon sees her true love Kwon-Yoo in the palace and he has now become an Eunuch.
