Eun-Bi decides to take part in the audition dressing up as a man. Her ruse is discovered though by Yoo-Jin (Park Gi-Woong), an investor for musicals, and she is kicked out from the audition. In the bathroom of the audition, Eun-Bi meets a woman named Sa Bok-Ja (Park Kyeong-Rim). Bok-Ha insists she is a musical instructor and gives lessons to Eun-Bi. Bok-Ja even moves into Eun-Bi's apartment. Eun-Bi then decides to take a year off from school, believing that with lessons from Bok-Ja she can make her dreams come true.

But So Hwa is eventually dethroned as the queen and leaves the palace in disgrace. Cheo Seon helplessly watches these events unfold and he secretly helps So Hwa. But in a cruel twist of fate, he is the one chosen to execute So Hwa's death sentence by serving her a bowlful of poison. After So Hwa dies, he looks after her son King Yeon San as if he were his own son.

Jumong was the founder of Goguryeo in 37 BC. He was the son of General Hae Mo Su and Lady Yoo Hwa, and was raised by King Geum Wa who took him and his mother in when Hae Mo Su was believed to have been killed in an ambush by the Han Dynasty. So Seo No was a merchant's daughter who helped Jumong in realizing his dream to build a new country, and later became his second wife.

This drama is about the takeover of the Korean government in 1979 by Chun Doo Hwan.
