Model Plawan has been a pad kaprao—no long beans—enthusiast all his life. Offered a hefty sum, he's hired to train at a well-known chef's table restaurant under head chef Chef Oab. His secret mission is to make Chef Oab fall for him and and to become his successor. Unfortunately, he's shaken by the harsh and stern-looking chef who smells like holy basil. Apart from being known for his skills in the kitchen, he's also said to be a serious perfectionist, instilling fear even in his peers. How, then, can amateur Plawan hope to measure up?

The relationship between two families begins with the friendship of one's daughter and the other's son. As time goes on, Namkhing and Foon's friendship morphs into first love. Spending increased time together, they eventually have the cahnce to take a family trip together.

Soon, the relationship between Namkhing's mother Chayanut and Foon's father Sahat crosses a line. Both families are shaken by the realisation that Chayanut and Sahat had had an affari resulting in a pregnancy. Despite it all, the couples chose to stay by each other so as not to break up their families.
