Yuji has a fear of water and is unable to swim. One day, circumstances lead Yuji to attend a swimming class taught by Shizuka. Yuji takes lessons at Shizuka's swimming class. Shizuka cheers Yuji to learn swimming, but it's not easy for him to overcome his fear of water.

Satoko, a librarian is not confident with herself because she has never been in a relationship although she is 30 years old now. She encounters a gentleman named Ryosuke and falls in love with him instantly. A man who proclaims he is "Stendhal", the author of the French literature "Love Theory" suddenly appears in front of Satoko who hopes to change herself every day. It is a good thing for Satoko who is surprised at seeing this "illusion" which, in her mind, appears because she is so worried about her love. What's more, to make Satoko and Ryosuke have a blossoming love, Stendhal guides Satoko with love secrets and gradually changes her! In this way, they two will become closer. However, Satoko has a "certain past secret" she does not want to be known by anyone...

She eventually runs away and heads to Kyoto where she throws herself into acting.

Akutsu Eiji is a newspaper reporter. He is working on unsolved case that took place 30 years ago. The case involved a group of people extorting several companies for money. The group sent cassette tapes to the companies. Akutsu Eiji comes across a mysterious cassette tape. Meanwhile, Sone Toshiya lives in Kyoto and runs a tailor shop. He discovers a cassette tape among his late father's possessions. He plays the cassette tape and hears his voice from his childhood days.

Two women are flat-mates and friends in Tokyo. One is an event manager and the other works in the world of fashion marketing. The result shows that one is pregnant one day. Set at the end of Edo period. With the approaching threat of foreigners, the Annaka lord's Katsuaki Itakura decided to train samurais by holding an excursion running through ten Gosato (about 58 km) along the mountain road.

However, this movement is mistaken for treason by the shogunate, who decide to assassinate Katsuaki staying in the castle during the absence of samurais. Only one person, a man who knew that a crisis is approaching, in order to stop the plan, begins to run.
