School friends Lee Wan and Shin Gi Tae are inseparable school friends who spend every single moment of free time they have together. But Lee Wan has a secret: He has a crush on his best friend and wants their relationship to turn romantic. When he tells Shin Gi Tae how he feels, Gi Tae recoils and Lee Wan runs away to a new life.

Seven years later, Lee Wan who is now an illustrator is called to an interview at a gaming firm that is developing a dating-themed game where he he comes face-to-face with Shin Gi Tae, who is a team leader at the same firm. Now these two former friends must work together, despite the events of seven years ago. But will spending so much time in one another’s company again result in friction – or could it reignite old passions?

Seoul Station, dust alarms go off regularly. Tae San is homeless here. At first glance, he looks different from other homeless people. With Mr. Kim and Do Joon, they live as a family in underpasses or empty stores. One day, Tae San meets art student Moa and draws a picture with her on a dusty car. Tae San and Moa’s ‘Dust Art’ drawings start becoming widely known through social media. Through the cuts on his arms associated with suicide and the sporadic images, we learn that Tae San received great shock in the past and still has not recovered. Then Tae San starts having a positive outlook on life and becomes free from the trauma through the dust drawings. Through Tae San’s explanation on ‘Tyndall phenomenon’, the film tells us that homeless life and dust art are essentially the same. “Even an invisible being has a story to tell.” DUST-MAN seems to convey a message that art can project a light of hope not only to the world covered with dust but also for the artist themselves.

Hyun Joo had a hard life after losing her mother to a brain tumor at a young age. It was her husband Kim Do Yeong, who saved her. However, she finds out that she will also die soon like her late mother. The fear of leaving her family in the same pain and agony she went through as a child is bigger than the fear of dying. This leads her to tell her husband, “I’ve fallen in love with someone else”, as she hides her pain. During the last moments of her life, she goes off to find true love in.

Mi Hee appears at Sungsook's door and claims to be her childhood best friend. It is the first time they've met. Why would she claim to be childhood best friends when they are not?
