Hong Kong is an expensive city. Some people have to work multiple jobs in order to afford a flat. Tang is a carefree, unambitious orphan who lives in the present. He works multiple jobs including food and goods delivery. One day, he meets famous businesswoman Ms. Fok, who invites him to move into her luxurious house with a few other contestants. For the next six months, all contestants must follow Ms. Fok’s rules while learning to live with one another. Those that survive the six-month period will each receive HK1 million dollars. With their eyes set on the prize, everyone tries to do their best at first. However, more and more problems surface as time goes by.

Au Yeung Chun is a stubborn yet diligent man who does not accept defeat. Due to debt problems at home, he takes refuge in a boxing gym owned by an acquaintance, and it becomes his second home. There, he meets like-minded people and is inspired to become a top boxer in Asia.

Hau is a hard-working fast food restaurant staff. Despite his hectic schedule, he plays basketball on a public basketball court early in the morning. He has not taken part in any matches ever since he was bullied back in high school. One day, a group of young men forcefully take over the public basketball court. Angered by their behaviour, Bo randomly picks Hau, Leung and Tak to form a team to play against the young men. At first, the group of strangers have absolutely no chemistry at all. However, with their unique styles and Bo’s coaching, they manage to defeat their opponents. While they get a sense of achievement on the basketball court, the trio each have their own problems and feel lost when they are off court. Basketball is their only way to escape reality.
