Satoru Fujinuma is an unpopular manga artist, who doesn't like having relationships with other people, although he also works part-time delivering pizzas. In 1865, Hanpeita Takechi (Ryo Nishikido) belongs to political activist group Shishi. He is then imprisoned and ordered to kill himself for disrespecting the Lord. Katsu Kaishu takes care of Mikako and her student Masaya, while Mikako hopes to go back to the future where she came from.

During a high-speed motorboat chase with a criminal, Cheung Chau police officer Wong Tai Mui gets herself trapped in a waterspout, accidentally opening a time portal. She travels back 200 years to 19th century Hong Kong, a time when the island was under Qing rule. She encounters a family of Canton pirates, led by Cheng Yat, his wife Shek Giu, and their adopted son Cheung Po Tsai. Using her knowledge of the future, which she keeps in a smartphone, she saves the pirates from a deadly naval battle against the Qing naval fleet led by Prince Man Ho, the eleventh son of the Jiaqing Emperor. Puzzled by her mysterious origins, Cheng Yat and Shek Giu remain wary of Tai Mui and are hesitant in trusting her.

Jin Hyuk is a genius neurosurgeon with a cold and severe attitude in his interactions with other people due to his personal pursuit of perfection. He begins treating people there, but the lack of necessary implements and rudimentary medical knowledge of the period forces him to seek new ways to aid the sick. A young woman named Future is sent from the year 2046 to the year 2011 in Hong Kong. Future was sent by the United Nations in order to get pregnant, where she can then extract her genes and repopulate the earth as 99% of males have become infertile in the future due to attacks from Planet Xucker. Two assassins from Xucker are sent after her to stop her. Future meets three University students: Felix, Dan and Sing. The men are obsessed with female students next door: Chin Chin. The students agree to help Future find a mate at the university.

"Heita is an ordinary high school boy with a kind heart but no real interest in romance. His class is joined by a transfer student named Q10 ( pronounced "kyu-to" the same as "cute" ), who looks like a girl but is actually a robot. Together, the two end up causing trouble at school, and Heita even begins falling for Q10."

Fujiwara stars as a man who was in an accident on a snowy mountain 46 years ago. Taking the classes are the popular Tadashi Otomo, and the leader of the delinquent students, Sho Takamatsu. And giving the lecturers is Noriko Sekiya, a teacher that has taken out all kinds of loans to pay for the popular brand items that she buys.

Yuka comes to the school to collect money from Noriko. While at the school, with thoughts of the past in the back of her mind, Yuka and Akio meet and get into a fight. Then all of a sudden, there is a small tremor, and after it subsides.
