His wife, their apartment security guard and paramedics arrive in the bathroom one after the other, but rather than revealing its identity, they are attacked by the strange hand in the toilet.

Do not mock the hand; it may never come out of the toilet, but you can never be free of its grip, and the attacks are surprisingly terrifying. With the movie beginning and ending with the titular ‘hand’, there is tension built in the restricted space of the bathroom. Together with the extraordinary setting, the special effects and the actors' passionate performances evoking humor and fear, it is also worth noting this formal attempt to expand the short form-style series, which has been tried in various guises leading up to the theatrical version.

Ultra Q can be described as a half-hour Toho kaiju film. Dayu, however, rejects, and Hasan goes back due to work needs, leaving his family behind temporarily. Paranormal activities emerge, such as Dayu alleged to hearing someone say "Ari Kibar", and a shadow standing randomly. Dayu also attempted to slice herself. One day, Dayu drinks a ginger tea from Nina and mysteriously dies.

One day, Nina sees the caretaker going somewhere. She follows the caretaker, who visits a remote house, which explains why she never appeared in the house: she isn't a caretaker. At the house, Nina sees news clippings, which reveal that Hasan had a friend named Dimas. Furthermore, she learns that "Ari kibar" means "Arah kiblat" ('Qibla heading'); in Dayu's home, the qibla heads to a tree. Digging it reveals human bones. Here, Hasan reveals that he and Dimas used to have an obsession on impressing Dayu. Amid a fight, he kills him with a knife. Dayu secrets this from Dimas' family, and Dimas was buried below the tree.

Mad at Hasan, Nina brings the children to flee away with her leaving Hasan alone. Before leaving, Hasan has an epiphany that he must kill Nina, and while Nina is in the house, he strangles her, but she is saved by a neighbor related to Dimas who eavesdropped the confession, who tears Hasan's back with a spade, killing him. He and Dimas are properly buried by dawn.

Peace has returned to Thamma Nakanimitr Temple after Monk Nong, Monk First and Monk Balloon completed the mission to fulfill their pledges and won the battle with the ghost of Nak Nont. After two years in the US, Na Na returns to Beijing and looks up old friend Song Qi An, now taking a postgraduate course in psychology. (Her belief in ghosts goes back to her childhood in the countryside, when a school friend, Yu Han, gave her a weird doll.) When Nana visits her old friends, they all react angrily to her mentioning Xiao Ai. Na Na remembers how, back in 2010, it was she who befriended Xiao Ai, a Chinese literature student, and brought her into the group. To her annoyance, Hong Rui had fallen for Xiao Ai, and when misfortunes started to happen, Na Na had blamed Xiao Ai as an evil influence. To settle the problem, the friends had played the ouija board-like game of Bixian, which revealed the name of Yu Han. After Na Na had exposed Xiao Ai as the grown-up Yu Han, Song Qi An had walked out, appalled; that evening, Xiao Ai had thrown herself off a college building. Back in the present day, members of the group now start getting killed by a ghostly presence.

After five years of working on it, writer Xiao Ai (Mei Ting) has her horror novel rejected by her patient publisher (Ma Shuliang). She also hears that her ex-husband, Qi Kun (Wu Chao), who was imprisoned for domestic violence, has been released and is looking for her and their asthmatic young son Xiao Xin (Zhu Jiangdi). A doctor friend, Yinan (Guo Jingfei), offers them an old, remote house so she can work peacefully. But unexplainable events begin to happen when Xiao Ai finds some faded photos of a young woman and her child whose faces have been cut out and decides to use them for inspiration.
