The Legendary Prime Minister – Zhuge Liang is a Hong Kong television series based on the life of Zhuge Liang (Cantonese: Chu-kot Leung), a chancellor (or prime minister) of the state of Shu Han in the Three Kingdoms period. Starring Adam Cheng as the titular character, the series not only incorporates stories about Zhuge Liang from Luo Guanzhong's historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but also includes some elements of wuxia and a fictional romance between Zhuge Liang and Xiaoqiao (Cantonese: Siu-kiu). The series was produced by ATV and first started airing in Hong Kong on 9 December 1985. General Liu has 2 sons Liu Qi and Liu Zhong. Both sons are fine in war strategy, except that Qi is kind while Zhong is evil. Qi saves a beautiful maid, Zhi Lan. He likes her but his brother rapes her. Later Zhong ditches her. Qi gets worried when Zhi Lan has Zhong's child and disappears. Knowing that his brother is the scheming type, he gives everything up and tries to look for her with Liang. They finally find her. Zhi Lan is touched by Qi's love for her and finally marries him. Liang envies them and wonders when he will get to be with his love one day. Liu Bei seeks his help 3 times before he agrees to help him out. On his way to the camp, he meets Xiao Qiao who is beautiful and also intelligent. Both are interested in one another but Liang is disappointed to know that she is engaged to another general, Zhou Yu. Zhou Yu is angry to know that his fiancée has a change of heart and he demands to carry their wedding forward. Xiao Qiao seeks help from Liang but he ignores her. Zhou Yu is close on their heels. Out of desperation, she jumps off the cliff. Both men are alarmed upon seeing this. Liang tries to hold her hand but tears her sleeve instead. He also injures himself when both reach the bottom of the cliff. He tries to crawl close to the unconscious Xiao Qiao but Zhou Yu kicks him aside and carries her home. Xiao Qiao is sent to Huang Ying's father for treatment. Zhou Yu never leaves her alone as Xiao Qiao may die any second. Huang Ying, however, pities Liang who stands outside the hut daily to check on Xiao Qiao's condition. She starts to fall for him. Zhou Yu marries Xiao Qiao after her recovery. She is unhappy and Zhou Yu treats her coldly although he really loves her. Liang also marries Ying but he sets his mind to put his heart in his work to manage his master's state to help his son. He gets along well with Kwan Yu and Zhang Fei. He thinks of very good war strategies to control the other states. Being a martial arts expert himself (can you believe it?), he is also a master of traps. He finds Qi but Qi declines to help as he is happy to settle in a village with his family and son. In the meantime, Zhong joins Cao Cao's army. The Wei state thus becomes the strongest among the three. Zhou Yu and Liang often see each other and they often have verbal attacks. Cao Cao is glad to see this and he plans to grab the other 2 states when he gets the chance. After all these years, the other people have aged, except for Xiao Qiao. Why? To save her life, Ying's father has to give her a valuable drug that keeps her youth all along. Ying is amazed to see how Xiao Qiao remains the same all these years while she ages so much. She can see how much Liang still loves her and feels inferior of herself. She finally dies miserably, urging Liang not to give Xiao Qiao up. Zhou Yu helps his master, Sun Quan, after the elder ruler Sun Che dies. Being younger and inexperienced, he always listens to Zhou Yu's advice. Liang also helps Liu Bei's son, Ah Dou, who is a stupid man. He ages so much as he takes charge of everything in the war after his masters' death. Zhou Yu fails in several attempts to seize Liu Bei's state. He is seriously injured in an attack. However, he is very upset that Xiao Qiao doesn't say that she likes him all these years. Even though she takes care of him, she doesn't say these words even till the day of his death. Cao Cao also becomes an unhappy man after he causes his favourite son, Cao Zhi's death. Cao Pi throws discord among them and he is remorseful over it. He starts to wonder the point of having wars and stops. Liang and Xiao Qiao are finally together. But Liang is dying too as he reveals too many predicted secrets. Xiao Qiao is upset but they decide to spend the remaining days happily together.

While Li battles his inner demons and his new enemies, Fei is turned every which way but loose by a ruthless seductress who is secretly at the servitude of the 'Money Clan'. Initially, 'Return Of The Sentimental Swordsman' seems to be going through the motions. The scenarios penned by Gu Long and brought to the screen by Chu Yuan have a ring of familiarity about them that seasoned viewers will immediately identify: the hero is challenged, succeeds, moves on, is then challenged again etc. These plot-devices are part-and-parcel of this particular sub-genre and are in danger of becoming stale before the film progresses much further. Sure enough, 'Return Of The Sentimental Swordsman' drags itself through the first twenty minutes, throwing our hero into rather uninspired situations. It is then, though, that Chu Yuan begins to dig beneath the text and open up the underbelly of the martial world.

The Blood Sword 2 is a Hong Kong television series adapted from the wuxia manhua series Chinese Hero: Tales of the Blood Sword by Ma Wing-shing. The series was produced by ATV and first aired in September 1991. The series is a prequel to The Blood Sword (1990). Ying Hung misses his China hometown and brings his family back. In the midst of returning, he is being ambushed by Sa Dan’s men. His wife and daughter are dead. He gets so mad that he leaves his son, Kiem Hung with his servants to return to America to seek his revenge. He is successful with the help of Lo Hon, Kuai Pu and Kiem Shing. He kills Sa Dan and retreats into Chung Wah Place. 15 years later, Kiem Hung comes to America to look for Ying Hung. Because of his reckless nature, Ying Hung is forced to offend 5 colours Sect’s leader, Yin Yeung Messenger. Yuen Mou comes too and befriends Hon and Ying Hung. The three join forces to break Liet Yeung trap to save a mysterious woman, Mok Chi. The Black Dragon Clan wants the Chinese society to break up so they get the Japanese samurai, Mou Dik to kill the innocent Chinese. It also forces many to become mine labourers. Ying Hung is forced to break the stone lion to retrieve his blood sword to make a comeback. Ying Hung challenges Mok Dik to a duel but also combines forces with Mou and Hon to attack the iron bull valley. Unfortunately, Hon dies in the process but his heroic act moves all Chinese. They decide to set up the Chinese Society. They vow to pit against Black Dragon Clan and choose Mou to be their chairman. The Japanese sect, Lo Sau Clan is awaiting for a chance to reap the benefits when the two clans clash. They choose a representative – Chin Mien to cause chaos in the Chinese Society. Kiem Hung is repeatedly harassed by Devil Sect’s messenger to fulfill the wish of their dead leader to take over his position. This harassing only stops when their white snake messenger dies mysteriously. Ying Hung has a chance to spar with Black Dragon Sect’s Ming Sat. He learns that he is under the lone star and is destined to be alone. True enough, it does affect the later part of his life. There are disputes within Lo Sau Clan and Ying Hung is dragged into it. He spars with Tai Bo at the Dragon Chamber. He later rushes to save Kuai Pu and others from Black Dragon Clan. Mou Dik helps him to defeat the Commander from Black Dragon Clan. He also helps to set up a treaty so that both clans will not probe into each other’s issues. The date of the duel gets closer so Ying Hung goes into retreat. He works too hard till his hair grows white overnight. The worst thing happens – he overexerts his inner strength till he faints on the day of the duel. Mou Dik mistakens that he misses the duel without a valid reason. Thus he starts killing every Chinese he sees in Chinatown. Ying Hung returns on time and both have a duel on the statue of liberty. Ying Hung turns totally ruthless in his attacks while Mok Dik still saves him on the nick of time to lose to him. All can’t believe their eyes when Mou Dik kills his own son and later duels with Ying Hung again. Ying Hung loses this time and falls into the sea. Mou Dik feels lonely without a match and thus kills himself. Actually, Ying Hung isn’t dead. He only fakes his own death, recalling what Ming Sat has told him. He is afraid of implicating his friends and relatives after so many unpleasant deaths. Thus he decides to create another form of life for himself by leaving them.

The Blood Sword is a Hong Kong television series adapted from the wuxia manhua series Chinese Hero: Tales of the Blood Sword by Ma Wing-shing. The series was produced by ATV and first aired in June 1990. It was followed by a 1991 prequel, The Blood Sword 2. After seeking vengeance on the Westerners who murdered his family, Wah Ying-hung (name literally means "Chinese Hero"wink.gif flees to America to start a new life. Throughout his adventures in America, he meets new friends such Ghostserver and Gold Dragon and gradually becomes a powerful martial arts master. Once in Chicago, Wah is up against gang wars, murder, treachery and racial discrimination.

Set in the Qing Dynasty during the 43rd year (1779) of the reign of the Qianlong Emperor, martial arts master Li Mu Bai is about to retire and enter a life of meditation, though he quietly longs to avenge the death of his master, who was killed by Jade Fox. He gives his sword, a fabled 400-year-old weapon known as Green Destiny, to his friend, fellow martial arts wizard and secret love Yu Shu Lien, so that she may deliver it to Sir Te. Upon arrival in Peking, Yu happens upon Jen, a vivacious, willful politician's daughter. That night, a mysterious masked thief swipes Green Destiny, with Yu in hot pursuit -- resulting in the first of several martial arts action set pieces during the film. Li arrives in Beijing and eventually discovers that Jen is not only the masked thief but is also in cahoots with the evil Jade. In spite of this, Li sees great talent in Jen as a fighter and offers to school her in the finer points of martial arts and selflessness, an offer that Jen promptly rebukes.

Wind and Cloud are orphans raised by the powerful Lord Conqueror (Xiongba), who taught them martial arts in order to help him dominate the world. The plot is based on the first two story arcs of the comic series. Xiongba, chief of the martial arts clan Tianxiahui, learns from the prophet Nipusa that he will rise to prominence in the Jianghu (martial artists' community) with the help of "Feng" and "Yun" (literally "wind" and "cloud"wink.gif. Later by chance, Xiongba meets two boys - Nie Feng (Wind) and Bu Jingyun (Cloud) - and immediately accepts them as his students, tutoring them in martial arts. When Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun are grown up, Nipusa reveals to Xiongba that the latter's downfall will also be due to "Feng" and "Yun". To prevent that from happening, Xiongba uses a scheme to turn Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun against each other but the plan fails. The rest of the plot focuses on the character development of Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun, such as their relationships with their respective lovers, and their journey to becoming supreme fighters. In the middle of the story, Xiongba is betrayed by his followers and loses his powers and is placed at the mercy of Bu Jingyun. He promises to repent and retire permanently from the Jianghu, so Bu Jingyun spares him. In the meantime, a Japanese warrior called Juewu Shen arrives in China with his clan with the intention of dominating the Chinese Jianghu. Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun join forces to defeat Juewu Shen and drive away the Japanese invaders. Towards the end of the series, it is revealed that Xiongba has been secretly plotting to stage a comeback and realise his ambition of ruling the jianghu. Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun combine efforts to overcome Xiongba and restore peace, thus fulfilling Nipusa's prophecy.

Swordplay novels by Jin Yong (aka Louis Cha) have been adapted into numerous TV series and films. Sword Stained with Royal Blood is no exception. Mainland Chinese director Zhang Jizhong, after turning a few Jin Yong novels into well-received TV series, adapts Sword Stained With Royal Blood into an intriguing swordplay drama, with more historical elements added compared to previous versions. Singer/actor Bobby Dou stars as Yuan Chengzhi, son of a general who has been killed by the emperor. He comes across a beautiful girl named Qingqing, portrayed by Eva Huang from Kungfu Hustle, and they embark on exciting adventures together, with Yuan still bearing in mind his desire to avenge his father's death. On his journey, he befriends another girl, Jiu, which after they have formed a close relationship, she reveals her real identity as the royal princess, daughter of the emperor who killed Yuan's father.

Fei is a simple fisherman, who still possesses great sword-fighting prowess. He ends up foiling an assassination attempt against 13th Prince and helping him in an attempt to regain the throne from his evil brother. Yuet and Hsien appear as the prince's wife-to-be and aide, while adding their talents to the film's numerous swordplay sequences. The film ending was also a tragic situation.

(Season One) After getting kicked out from their 24th school for starting fights and couldn't find another school that would accept them, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei thought it's a God send that Liu Bei proposed to be their sworn brothers so they could enroll into the prestigious Dong Han Shu Yuan, a school exclusively for royalty, on the condition that they pay for his tuition. Though they enrolled, it didn't mean they attended the class in peace because they must survive the school's death traps and hostile invasion from warring schools. (Season Two) Wu Hu Jiang's bond gets tested when Guan Yu is forced to honor his agreement with Dong Zhuo. Huang Zhong reunites with his mother but were forced to separate because she is a member of the Huang Jin High School. Guan Yu and Lu Bu becomes demonized when they both learn Hao Cha Jing to neutralize the effects of Zhen Cha Jing. Lu Bu takes the path of evil and stands in opposition with Dong Zhuo and Wu Hu Jiang. Xiao Qiao and Da Qiao resolve their misunderstandings and finally reconcile. The love relationship between Xiu and Sun Shang Xiang gets tested when the real Liu Bei returns. (Season Three) Principal Wang is finally back to Dong Han Academy, only to get killed by Dong Zhuo later. Xiu/Liu Bei's identity is at greater risk than ever. The Silver Dimension's timeline gradually catches up to the Three Kingdoms' history. Dong Zhuo takes control over the imperial court and wreaks havoc everywhere, prompting everyone to war against him. With the assistance of Zuo Ci, Wu Hu Jiang finally defeat Dong Zhuo and reclaim the Nationwide School Union from his hands. Although Dong Zhuo is gone, a new age begins, and new problems emerge. Yuan Shao takes the landmark of Dong Han Academy in his own hands, forcing the Wu Hu Jiang, Xiu/Liu Bei and Cao Cao to find the one man who can save it: Zhuge Liang - the famous strategist. However, he turns out to be a regular person and eventually, Yuan Shao is able to claim Dong Han Academy's landmark into his own. With four members of Wu Hu Jiang gone and everyone forced to retreat to Jiang Dong, Cao Cao's power is weaker than ever. With old enemies gone and new characters come into the picture, a new battle will soon begin.
