Lee Hwa Sun is a police detective in the Seoul regional investigation unit. Lee Hwa Sun’s life is turned upside down when she receives a phone call from her husband’s murderer, telling her to come to “Mujishi.” However, the people in Mujishi have been transformed into monsters after breathing in a mysterious dark smoke. Lee Hwa Sun must not only fight to survive but also battle her fear in order to capture her husband’s murderer.

Yoo Tae Han is a native of Mujishi and a wreck car driver. He has a carefree personality and likes to joke around, but he has a strong sense of justice. He quit being a police officer due to a scandal caused by a misunderstanding, but he is proud of his days in the force. When he meets Lee Hwa Sun in the chaos of Mujishi, he devotes his life to saving others from danger.

In a prologue, the cast is introduced to the settings and suspects of a murder case for the new episode. The cast then chooses their role in the episode, as a particular suspect or the detective. Other than the detective, each person is given detailed information about the suspect they are portraying including their personalities, alibi, relationship to the victim and other suspects, history, criminal motive, etc. Every suspect can conceal information until explicitly questioned by other suspects or the detective, but only the criminal can lie.

Kentaro Arita is a popular lawyer, who often appears on TV. He becomes involved in an adultery incident and becomes the subject of criticism and curiosity. He is then found dead. The police investigate Kentaro Arita’s family, his colleagues at the law office, and his lover actress Natsuki Toyama. The police are unable to determine a suspect and the case goes unsolved. 5 years later, day laborer Tatsuji Kosaka is found dead at a construction site. There is evidence that links the murders of Lawyer Kentaro Arita and Tatsuji Kosaka. Tomo Yashiro and Risa Narumi begin to investigate the two cases.

Each issue of the show is co-operated by six great players. They are trapped in confined spaces with different themes and sent to secret rooms with different themes. They need to assist each other to complete the escape. They can only rely on inference details and hints to gradually open up new spaces. Seok Jae wakes up at Seongrimwon, and begins to dig into the secrets of the place.

And then on February 19, the shocking fact is revealed that the people in that place prepare to kill themselves in the hope of salvation.

In fact, they are able to turn this ‘regrettable flaw’ into a ‘hidden ability’ and use it to help them solve many mysterious cases.

The story begins with a detective named Hyun Soo, who traces a girl who disappeared to the edge of a cliff with only one suicide note left on the night of the typhoon.

Tateoka Ema is an interrogation specialist who uses behavioural psychology to make suspects confess and boasts a 100% success rate. She can see through the lies of suspects in a split second by reading their “micro-gestures”. Any suspect whom she targets will eventually be forced to make a confession.
