Srikanth works in his father's ladies emporium in Jogipet, however, he aspires to get an IT job to earn respect from fellow villagers. He challenges his father that he would get a job in two months and leaves to Hyderabad. His unemployed friends, Sekhar and Ravi tag along with him. They struggle to find a house for rent in the city and but finally manage to move into an affluent apartment in Jubilee Hills. Srikanth falls for his neighbour Chitti, and she too likes him. Meanwhile, Jana Balam Party makes a public announcement that all the ministerial positions will be given only to the deserving candidates, who must have some kind of experience in the field. Chanakya who has insider info about the upcoming Indo-Asian Games in the city manages to get sports ministry over his rival Ramachandra. Chanakya also lives in the same apartment where he hosts his birthday party. Srikanth gets a job after attending several interviews and the trio attends the party without an invitation. That night, Chanakya who is shot in his chest falls unconscious in their flat. Drunken Ravi pronounces him dead. While attempting to dispose of the body, they are caught red-handed by the police, who arrest them in the belief that they have a criminal history. Chanakya, however, is alive and to their surprise, he names them as the perpetrators. They are taken to the court to be tried. Chitti, a lawyer by profession who has no knowledge on the law, tries to prove their innocence but the judge is unconvinced. He postpones the judgment and sends them to jail. Chanakya bails them out and his men take them to a den. Chanakya asks them the whereabouts of his mobile phone which Ravi used while they were trying to dispose of him. Ravi fails to recollect about the mobile. Srikanth overhears that they are going to be killed as soon as Chanakya gets hold of the mobile. They manage to escape and decide to find the mobile so that they can blackmail Chanakya to withdraw the case. They trace the mobile to their car's boot, only to find that the car is in Chanakya's den. While retrieving the mobile, Ravi gets trapped in the car which Chanakya's fans decide to burn as a mark of protest. The next day, Srikanth and Sekhar rescue Ravi. They challenge Chanakya's brother-in-law but the mobile accidentally falls in a tea kettle. As a last hope, they deliver the mobile to Chanakya's rival Ramachandra. But he double-crosses them and joins hands with Chanakya in exchange for money. They are sent to court again for the trial. In a final attempt to save themselves, Srikanth fabricates a story that Chanakya is involved in a scam with Hong Kong-based businessmen, which everyone believes. The judge orders the police to unravel the conspiracy. In order to escape from the public outrage, the party pressurizes Chanakya to sever all his ties with Hong Kong and withdraw the case, which he obliges. Srikanth and his friends are acquitted of the crime. The Indo-Asian Games contract is given to Swatantra Electronics and Chanakya's political fan is taken into custody. Srikanth goes back to Jogipet to run his own ladies emporium and marries Chitti. In the end, it's revealed that the mobile has a recording where Chanakya claims to be a national champion in cricket, in which he is a goalkeeper.

Hidayat Khan is an Indian freedom fighter and agent posing as an informant for the Indian government against Pakistani government. He wishes to make his 20-year-old daughter Sehmat an agent and continue the family tradition of being in service to the country before his impending death from lung cancer. Sehmat is willing so she is trained by senior RAW officer Khalid Mir and his assistant, a young Bakshi. Khan uses his friendship with Brigadier Syed of the Pakistan Army to get Sehmat married to his younger son, Iqbal Syed, another military officer. After migrating to Pakistan, Sehmat settles into her married life, adjusts to a new country, and establishes the trust of her in-laws. Brigadier Syed is promoted to Major General, which results in crucial documents and members of the country's defence forces passing through his house. Sehmat establishes communication channels with her handlers back in India and starts relaying information. Meanwhile, she falls in love with Iqbal and they consummate their marriage. Sehmat spots information related to the planning of an offensive against India and is able to pass it on. One of the servants, Abdul, discovers the truth about her and Sehmat runs him down with a car to avoid exposing her cover. The event takes a heavy emotional toll on her. The information points to the planned attack on the Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, then deployed in the Bay of Bengal. Sehmat reluctantly kills Mehboob Syed, Iqbal's elder army officer brother after he finds her suspicious. She is distraught at having widowed Munira, Mehboob's wife, and saves her from police interrogation. She is eventually discovered as a spy by Iqbal, who is heartbroken by the revelation. He confronts her but dies from a grenade. The grenade was thrown by a member of Mir's team to kill Sehmat should she be caught. Sehmat is alive; the woman Iqbal confronted was actually another burqa-clad agent who switched places with Sehmat and died by the grenade along with Iqbal. Shocked by her husband's death and the fact that Mir was willing to kill her, Sehmat realises the insignificance of relationships and humanity in this line of work. Broken by the destruction of a family by her hand, she returns to India and discovers that she is pregnant with Iqbal's child. She decides to keep the child. With Sehmat's findings, the INS Rajput sinks the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi off Visakhapatnam's coast.[N 1] Nikhil Bakshi concludes his speech, with Samar Syed, Sehmat's son, among the officers. Meanwhile, an aged Sehmat is seen sitting in her chair and staring out of the window of her house in the middle of nowhere.

Srinivasan, a Malayalam professor with a balding pate is unable to find a suitable woman to marry. After a number of failed attempts, orchestrated by the marriage broker, Srinivasan, persuaded by his friend Rahim, decides to approach women directly. The story of Rahim's marriage with Ameera further encourages Srinivasan in his pursuit of finding love. Srinivasan develops an interest in his colleague, Babitha. As his attempts to court her were proceeding, Babitha takes fancy on the handsome young professor who joins the college. This discourages Srinivasan and he gives up dreams of having a married life. Meanwhile he encounters, a muslim woman Safiya who takes an interest in him. However, it turns out that the woman's interest in him was as a potential client to her company, which markets hairpiece for balding individuals. His family, keen to get him married, arranges a meeting with a woman, Chinnu. He appears at the meeting with hairpiece and is dejected to find that Chinnu is obese. After an embarrassing incident in which his hairpiece comes off, he flees, leaving the hairpiece behind. Chinnu meets him to return his hairpiece and on her way back bumps her scooty on an elderly man. Srinivasan, forced by Rahim, accompanies Chinnu to the hospital. Circumstances lead him to stay overnight at the hospital taking care of the old man. He also accompanies Chinnu to drop the man at his home. This incident paves way for further meetings and she invites him to visit biennale art festival being held in Cochin. As a memoir of a well spent evening, Chinnu takes a selfie with Srinivasan, which she posts on her Facebook page. The post garners plenty of negative comments emphasising Chinnu 's obesity and Srinivasan's balding pate. Disturbed by the comments and on advice of his colleagues, Srinivasan requests Chinnu to delete the picture. She is reluctant to delete the post and asks him to reconsider. This infuriates him further, and he insists on deleting the picture and puts a stop to further contacts with her. Following the incident, a grief stricken Chinnu uploads a live video on Facebook. In her video she questions the society's mind set towards obese individuals and declares that she is comfortable in her own skin. She also accused the society of endangering her relationship with people who stand beside her. On his visit to Rahim's house,Srinivasan is taken aback when he realises Ameera is mute by birth. He repents his actions and on advice of his brother decides to apologise to Chinnu. Srinivasan finds her in a cancer centre where she was a part of 'donate your hair' campaign. He looks at her and complements her new hair style. Together they walk towards a new beginning.

Game Over starts with a serial killer (whose face is not revealed) stalking a girl with cancer from outside her house and later at midnight killing her by wrapping her head in plastic and tying her hands behind her. After that he takes her to an abandoned field where he beheads her and sets her body on fire. Later, the film focuses on Swapna (Taapsee Pannu) who is a single young woman and also a talented game designer. She has a fear of the darkness, and also suffers from post-traumatic stress more so known as 'anniversary reaction', a condition, which triggers unsettling feelings around the anniversary of a traumatic event. For Swapna, it is the horrific memory of her rape that took place on last New Year's Eve. It's her second time that she suffers from the uncontrollable feeling whenever she enters darkness; the first time was one year ago, the following days after she was raped. Her symptom starts when she feels pain at her wrist, where there is a tattoo she got one year ago. As she got the tattoo too long ago, it was explained technically impossible by a doctor that the pain was caused by it, but only she knows there's connection between the tattoo and her miserable memory. Her family have a traditional mind that think decent girls shouldn't have tattoo or go out in the night; she didn't listen, and was later raped. Instead of encouraging her afterward, her parents kept blaming the tragedy on her, for having a tattoo and going out in the night. Because of this, she leaves her parents, never contacted them since, and leads a secluded life with Kalamma (Vinodhini Vaidyanathan), a housemaid who stays with her. Her only solace is her love for gaming. Swapna later learns that her tattoo ink was mixed with a stranger's ash, because of a mistake by the tattoo artist. She begins to have some bizarre dreams and finds that the girl Amutha (Sanchana Natarajan), a cancer survivor, was an unfortunate victim of a serial killer. Amutha's mother tells Swapna that her daughter will always be with her and want her to fight. The same serial killer that killed many young women in the city, including Amutha, finally targets Swapna, who is now temporarily a wheelchair user due to an attempted suicide. The killer kills Mr Anwar, the security of her house, and Kalamma, and finally Swapna. But before Swapna is killed, she is surprised to find that she has three the same tattoo pattern on her wrist, which she had only one. Swapna wakes up from the "nightmare", but finds now only two tattoo patterns are left on her wrist. She now realizes that she was not killed in a dream, but it's Amutha's spirit, who wants Swapna to fight, that gave her three lives, just like video games she's often playing. And now Swapna has lost one life, with two remaining. To avoid the same mistake that got them all killed in her first life, Swapna, who is now using her second life, call the police and stay in the house with Kalamma to wait for the police. Police arrive in time and shoots the killer before the latter kills Swapna and after, however, kills Kalamma. She seems to be saved and is taken by the police to the station. But on their way, their vehicle is exploded by a bomb set by the killers. It is now revealed that there was not only one killer that was trying to kill her, but three. Swapna now is using her third, also the last life to fight against the killers. Encouraged by Amutha's spirit, Swapna conquers her fear for darkness. She does not turn on the light to draw the killers' attention. Swapna and Kalamma manages to kill the first killer by setting fire on him. The second killer almost kills the both but is also taken down by them. The third killer beats Kalamma to unconsciousness and confronts Swapna, who manages to stab him to death with a piece of broken mirror.
