A lady works at a lingerie shop. Females of various ages visit her small shop, from elementary school students to those in their 40s in this five-part omnibus series. Each stands at a crossroad as a female.

Detective Gido Kennin (Tanaka Kei) specialises in reinvestigations, and is the most shunned and loathed person at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He carries around a name card with no department written on it and takes pleasure in uncovering cases where the police created false charges. Gido reveals the negligence of the police such as mistakes in initial investigations and cover ups, reconsidering the testimonies and evidence from these cases to discover the real criminals. He hates it if people escape punishment and in order to prevent this from happening, he makes all other sacrifices. It is said that no one will be happy after Gido’s investigations, and this has earned him the nickname “grim reaper”.

Banker Takizawa Kanji lives only for work and has become a branch manager through relentless hard work amid a restructuring of the financial industry. Lately, his conversations with his wife Mariko have dwindled and he has also grown apart from his daughter Misaki who is of marriageable age. But he readily accepts this way of life. One day, Kanji is suddenly ordered on a secondment to a client company for an irrational reason. He is unable to hide his shock at this unexpected demotion and begins to question his own life. Kanji happens to see a poster of a snowy mountain and lies to his family that he is going to Switzerland for a business trip the next day. He travels to Switzerland alone and arrives in the Swiss Alps. He meets Meguro Shiori on a gondola bound for the Matterhorn in a snow storm and the two of them hit it off. Meanwhile, Mariko suspects that her husband may be having an affair but cannot voice what she thinks. She ends up falling into a forbidden love with her daughter’s fiance Hino Haruki...

Things are much more abrasive, a tad more dangerous and all the more torturous for our pr’ek Por Thrisadee. He plays Jin, a newly enthusiastic, inexperienced Deputy (Bpalat) from Bangkok who gets stationed in the countryside. This particular village is a tough gig, not many Bpalats have survived it for more than a couple of months. But Bpalat Jin is up for the challenge. The village is still backwards in their ways and is run by a bunch of ruffians. There are two opposing groups, Phu Yai’s son and Dao Reurng. Bpalat gets entrenched in their warfare. But he is determined to improve the village and their regressive ways.

Metro of Love , a series of six films initiated by Taiwan filmmaker YEH Tien-lun, is making its debut at Hong Kong Filmart through new production outfit Good Image Co Ltd. Designed to support new talents, the initiative features six Chinese-language films by six promising Taiwanese directors. The six films share a common theme of love and are all set in Taipei with its extended metro network as its backdrop. Filming locations are around six metro stations: Tamsui, Xinbeitou, Daqiaotou, Ximen, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall and Zhongxiao Fuxing. Since last March five films have entered production, all of which are currently in post production. The final sixth film, directed by Yeh and starring KUO Shu-yao, LEE Li-jen and YANG Kuei-mei, is due to begin shooting in Ximen this April. Yeh is responsible for directing two films for the series; the other is set around Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall and stars Bianca BAI. The other five directors for the series are Sean KAO,, Gavin LIN , LIN Chun-yang, LEE Ching-jung and Taipei-based Japanese director KITAMURA Toyoharu. 'It has been three years in the making. We're glad to work with a new generation of Taiwanese directors whose new films will show their ability to tackle modern love stories, each in their own unique way,' says Yeh who also serves as producer to the series. His sister Gisele YEH is the scriptwriter for his Ximen film as well as executive producer to the series. The films will be ready for international festivals and theatrical release in Taiwan from the second half of this year.
