“Convict 13” is a 1922 American short comedy film starring Buster Keaton. Keaton gets knocked out while playing golf with his girlfriend and an escaped convict switches clothes with him. He finds himself in prison, but manages to foil the plans to hang him.

The movie is based on a real historic event. During French's invading war against China in 1885, the French army took over Zhengnan Guan located in the Guangxi Province. Wishing to protect their beloved country, the 70 years old General Feng Zicai and his two sons volunteered to join the battle. The general understood it would be a difficult battle to win as the French soldiers held much more advanced equipment, resources and weapons. To show his devotion and determination, he brought his own coffin alongside with him to the war zone. He also utilized his experience with the Zhangnan Guan terrain to pave out strategies, made weapons applicable to their situations. These actions bolstered the morale tremendously, and prepared them well for the war. As a result, although the Chinese soldiers sustained heavy losses, they turned the tide of the battle and won.

In a small town in Japan, a series of seemingly random explosion cases occur. Ichiro Suzuki knowns as "Brain Man" is fingered as an accomplice. Midorikawa works on the explosion case. The mysterious man known as "Brain Man" has outstanding memory, high intelligence and a perfect body, but doesn't seem to have human emotions. Neurosurgeon Mariko Washiya, who has her own personal trauma, believes that human nature is fundamentally good and tries to save criminals. She then becomes interested in Brain Man and works to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Detective Chaya tracks down Brain Man.

However, when he sees Mi Na and Yoon Joo walking out of Gangreung Bus Terminal together, he makes up one excuse after another in an attempt to keep the two women and him apart. "Two Rooms, Two Nights " comically exposes a man trapped by his own petard for playing both sides.
