The ancient dragon Tian Yao was riddled with gaping wounds due to a lover's betrayal, and his heart was emptied. When the dragon is reborn, he meets Yan Hui. She will protect him with all her strength in their fight to retrieve his remaining bones.

Twenty years ago, Tian Yao was betrayed by the woman he loved, stripped of his dragon bones that are sealed in four directions. By chance, Tian Yao's soul escapes from the seal. He senses a seal within a lake and waits for his opportunity.

Tian Yao sees a glimmer of hope upon encountering Yan Hui. She has the dragon within her that can help Tian Yao break the seal. Tian Yao uses Yan Hui for the purpose of retrieving his body parts. She tries to escape but fails, yet their relationship only grows closer. Over time, Tian Yao is moved by Yan Hui's repeated efforts to save him. She also realizes that her connection to Tian Yao can never be severed. One mystery comes after the other as she learns about her true origin.

Gota Nakaido is a detective based at the Minatomirai Police Station in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Prior to joining the police force, he spent 8 years working as a high school Physical Education (PE) teacher after graduating from university. His decision to become a detective stemmed from his determination to combat the negative influences that lead students astray.

Although Gota aspires to receive a promotion, he faces challenges due to his struggles with academic studies. However, his passion lies in apprehending criminals, and nothing brings him more joy than when victims express their gratitude for his efforts in catching wrongdoers.

The series talk about four different couples living together in one apartment complex.

Both in their thirties, Oh Do Shi is a voice actor and Ryu Du Ri is a blogger. They simply chose to live together instead of getting married, and have been sharing an apartment for two years.

Jeong Yeong Jun and Choi Ji Nyeo are a couple that's twelve years apart in age. Ji Nyeo has the personality of a penny-pinching ajumma and basically supports her younger boyfriend in the hope that he will someday realize his dream, while Yeong Jun is an unemployed musician who carries around a guitar he doesn't know how to play. They've been living together for a year, and are quick to fight and make up.

Park Hwan Jong and Ha Seol Eun are in their twenties and have just moved in together. Seol Eun wants her boyfriend to believe that she's the perfect embodiment of femininity, and works tirelessly to keep up the illusion.

Lee Jun Jae is a loner who prefers to stay at home, but is forced to find a roommate for financial reasons. He doesn't even want to exchange unnecessary small talk so he advertises for a foreigner who can't speak Korean very well. Enter Takuya, a Japanese guy on his travels. Takuya thinks Jun Jae is wasting his youth, and begins to draw him out into the world.
